Christian Parker is my choice. He interviewed for Packers DC opening in 2024. He was quality control coach in 2019-2020.

According to NFL Insider Jordan Schultz, one of the Packers’ first interviews will be Philadelphia Eagles passing game coordinator/defensive backs coach Christian Parker.

Parker, 34, is a highly respected up-and-comer in the NFL coaching ranks who has interviewed for multiple defensive coordinator openings over the years. He interviewed for Green Bay’s defensive coordinator vacancy in 2024, but LaFleur ended up choosing Hafley.

LaFleur and Parker have history together, with Parker serving as a defensive quality control during LaFleur’s first two years in Green Bay. After leaving the Packers, Parker coached defensive backs for the Denver Broncos from 2021 to 2023 and has spent the last two seasons with the Eagles.

On no universe would I want this guy over R Morris.

I would love to see a Strong DC and OC come in here who don't have history with Flower, and we have proven themselves in the past.

That would leave Saleh, Schwarts, and Morris as the ideal choices. Morris has earned two HC'ing opportunites for being a great DC. HE's not getting another for a while. Of course the Packers would need to OPEN up their wallet for a quality DC; so maybe they will hire your guy...I'd also take Jimmy over Parker as well.

Saleh is getting hired by the Titans I think.

While we're on it, NO MORE internal promotions for these coaching vacancies.

          Let's hire some proven experiences
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

Gus Bradley and Brian Flores (is he even available) would also be good choices.

I've often through the Flower really didn't want, long term proven strong willed coached as his coordinators. Hope we bring somebody in who is somewhat proven.....ditto at OC

              Mike McDaniel.

I reckon, despite offense being his forte, McDaniel is such a genius, he could make the pistol force defense fab again. And that d ain’t been fab since the last white corner played for the Packers.

And when McDaniel inevitably gets another head honcho gig, Packers get a 3rd rounder!
Yes, Bobble, we know. McDaniel is Black. Quit reminding us so.

“ Raheem Morris expected to be top candidate for Packers' open DC job.”

“ Morris and LaFleur previously worked together in Washington (2012-13) and Atlanta (2015-16). Morris also spent three years as the defensive coordinator on Sean McVay's staff in Los Angeles before taking the head coaching job back in Atlanta in 2024.
A veteran defensive coach with playcalling experience, Morris would be well suited to hit the ground running for a veteran team with Micah Parsons leading the way and Super Bowl aspirations entering 2026.
One benefit of hiring Morris is he is unlikely to be a strong head coaching candidate in the coming years after two previous failed coaching opportunities, lessening the risk of immediately losing him if he excels in the defensive coordinator role in Green Bay.

Flores is a free agent coach. He might get a HC job though.

Can they coach special teams too - MLF better upgrade there. Cost us a playoff win and 2-3 other games. When will the brass realize it?

Not sure ST coaching is the problem. Coaches change. Problems persist. Did Bisaccia suddenly forget how to coach ST when he got to Green Bay?

Packers requests or plans to interview DC candidates:

                        Christian Parker
                        Daronte Jones

El Italiano might not coach his players to stink up the joint, but he does have a say on who plays.

Magnus Carlsen was Bisaccia’s hand-picked kicker. Great chess player; awful kicker. McAnus over the record holder has Bidaccia’s signature all over it.

Bisaccia has costed the Packers enough games. Off with his head, figuratively, of course.

Thanks, Ted! DeAndre Hopkins was there to pick, but yeah, let’s take a fucking Yokozuna. SMH.

Now that resume starts off with ALL kinds of flags (like all the previous internal hires) but the 2 years with Fangio* in Philly are a big plus to me. Of course, I have no idea how well he coaches. He's really young.

                              * 3 years with Fangio. He was on staff with Fangio in Denver.

Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.
