I really think many are assuming the Flower is going to make an easy call here and let Richie go.

The consistent failures over the past two years are pretty easy to document.

But one of the biggest gripes about the Flower is he keeps people, often his friends, around way too long.

I think Richie is getting retained. This seems so obvious, such an easy call. But some calls in the past were too.

I voted for firing him. I'm 100% confident that they should but only maybe 50 or 60% sure that they will. As for the second and third choices in the poll, the guy makes way too much money to be kept as something less than a coordinator.
What could be more GOOD and NORMAL and AMERICAN than Packer Football?

After reading more and more about the way the organization thinks about special teams, it looks like Rich
Bitch didn't do such a bad job after all. He's been basically given the island of misfit toys to work with, and the team doesn't care enough about return games in punting and kicking to spare a roster spot for an actual returner.

Keep him. And start paying attention to the ST return game. Why ask Jordan Love to constantly start around the twenty when with a couple tweaks you could be starting around the thirty?

I'd be looking to draft Kaden Wejent in the 6th or 7th just for this very reason if I'm Gute.

Don't know the guy, but the name is funny and cool to say.

I think it's more of an organizational decision to actually make returning a priority. You have to be willing to keep a roster spot and active game-day spot for a returner, which the Packers have shown no interest in so far.

I think it's short-sighted. You're keeping guys active on game day who rarely, rarely play because they're insurance - in case two starters at a position (say, running back or offensive lineman) get hurt. And you end up with receivers who twiddle their thumbs on the bench. Why not make a guy active who will very likely touch the ball three to six times a game, and have an opportunity on most of those touches to make a difference in field position?

Sorry, slight misspelling on the name.

The Packers gave Lafleur a mult-year extension after losing 5 games in a row to end the season.

Using the same sort of promote after poor performance logic, BISACCIA (His unit ranked 28th in the league) should get an extension, maybe even a promotion.

I've heard Bisaccia considered retirement last year. I think they'll keep him around in some sort of advisory role, and hire a new ST coach.

Guter spoke glowingly - glowingly - of Bisaccia in his presser. Bisaccia's effect on the whole team, not just ST. Guter now needs to take the rest of ST seriously instead of just the coverage units and FG unit. Get a goddamn returner and give him a roster spot. Quit keeping a fourth tight end or a tenth OL on the roster. Make room for a guy who can turn the field for your team.

What WILL he do? Or what SHOULD he do? He should fire his ass, but I doubt he will. Gutekunst said as much.

Adding to my above point, how often has the third or fourth tight end come into the game, or that spare-part offensive lineman, because a starter or second-stringer got hurt, and you found yourself saying, "Thank god we kept that guy around! He's doing great filling in! Now The Flower is not limited in his playcalling because these "next man up" guys are doing great!"?
