  • Again about Brett Favre Jock Sniffing- the Legend

You must remember 1992 when Brett Favre came in and saved our Packers? Surely approaching 25 years later we can now give some credit where credit is due. He was our leader for 16 years.

Even when I go to Christmas breakfast with 20 family members around his name often comes up as the greatest sports hero in my lifetime. My family now just gives me the nod that it’s been years so they all get it.

“Brett Favre’s top career statistics include 71,838 passing yards, 508 touchdowns, and 6,300 completions across 302 games, establishing him as a premier durable quarterback.

He notably holds the NFL record for 297 consecutive regular-season starts (322 including playoffs) and is the only player to win three consecutive MVP awards.”

    Always liked Brett Favre.
One of the greatest Packers ever.
Rodgers was a better QB, though.

Nah, Brett Favre was the greatest Packer during my lifetime and I was born in 1966.

Brent has a couple career bests you didn't mention. Picks. Fumbles. I wonder if he is the all time leader in red zone picks (both red zones). Enjoyed him. Didn't miss him. Don't we have a thread for this stuff??

For me, he was one of the most entertaining players, but certainly not the greatest. Not even close. Too many boneheaded plays to be considered the greatest Packer, especially in playoffs. (I suspect Viking fans will agree.) Of course, I am old enough to have watched the truly great Packer teams and individual players of the 1960s.
