    Not to be Mr Gloom & Doom but only 3 teams have given up more points than the Packers. The Pack has given 84 pts

    The other 3.....

    Houston - 98
    NY Gaints - 92 (this was a surprise)
    San Francisco - 85

      Interesting. But Houston drafted "Super Mario", how can this be? I doubt those teams have as many rookies or new players starting either. It takes time to jell.

                Didn't we start out 1-2 a couple seasons under Sherm and still ended up at 10-6?

                  In 2004, Pack started 1-4 and finished 10-6. I 2003, Pack started 1-2 and finished 10-6.

                    I believe Mike Holmgren started 1-4 in 1992 and finished 9-7.

                        You guys are internal optimists.

                        We win one game and everyone is thinking playoffs. I am really surprised at how bad the defense really is. Hopefully Kurt Shottenwhatever read that artical where McGinn ripped his sack off and hopefully it lit a fire under his ass.

                        I said 6-10 at the start of the season and I'm saying 6-10 now. The schedule is too easy and we have Brett Favre and AJ Hawk so I don't picture us losing as many of them as we did last season with a hard schedule.

                        I want to see defensive improvement and I'm crossing my fingers that we get a stud speed rushing DE to replace KGB next off season. That is where I stand in my hopes for the Packers. I just wnat to see improvement. I'll be happy with nothing more from this young team.

                          I believe the Packers have a shot to go 9-7 this season. With that said, that all hinges on their performance vs. Philly on Monday night. Favre has tanked his last few Monday Night starts, but this team is full of rookies and nobody's who have never been starters on Monday night. The tide is turning, I can feel it. Favre will be a top 5 QB in the league at the end of the season. He will return for one more year and say this is his last season. I look to being in the playoffs next year with a 12-4 record. I also look for the Packers to trade for another big name RB who will start instead of Green. Fergusen is gone after this season, I wouldn't be surprised to see Woodson go either. Sanders will be gone and so will Shittenheimer, the Packers will hire Jim Bates back.

                            I'll stick with 6-10, 7-9. I'll still be satisfied if they do that and show consistent promise by the end of the year (e.g. get these secondary woes turned around).
