They've expanded but the construction caused it's own nightmare for two years.Originally posted by retailguyOriginally posted by Fosco33
2nd busiest interchange in the US. A big hill adds to a short chord in traffic by Beverly Hills/Westwood and then a ton of lanes merge into like 5 then less with construction. It's always a mess - sometimes the 101 into the Valley is enough to make me want to move. But normally, I just smoke some cigs and listen to music with the 80 sun blaring on me while hot girls drive by - it's not that bad
Is it still 3 lanes in each direction through the sepulveda pass? That was a nightmare....
I remember getting off the freeway and taking Sepulveda blvd through the hills there and into the valley.
What a nightmare. I commuted from Camarillo/Ventura/Oxnard to Wilmington every day. Many days in the rain, it took 3+ hours to get home....
Funny story, we were coming south on the 405 north of 101 going to Sherman Oak area for lunch when the young Hispanic teens were walking the wrong way on the Northbound lanes. I've never seen a freeway get shut down quicker or so many police groups (7 squads in each) move through the side streets with more ease.
Made me feel safer knowing these guys know their shit.
I like the backroutes - griffith park through east hollywood down to santa monica and over to the 10 or La brea. I've saved a lot of hours staying away from freeways with sigalert.com!The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have.

Lots of last second upsets. Crazy long Field Goals. Amazing day of football.Originally posted by Tarlam! With 7 game results in so far, the leading scorer of our confidence pool has 30 points....

I changed my weighting on the GB game when I thought Woodson was out.......
......I originally had them losing with a 2 and ended up with a 7 I think....

I'll clarify. Poor secondary schemes/motivators/decisions. Poor clock management at the end of the first half. Odd calls on 2nd and 1 on consecutive series and a missed 3rd and 1. Allowing Harrington to throw all over the field and give up consecutive 4th downs when the game should've been over long before that. Some of this lies on M3 - poor discipline (penalties - especially ones using the old knoodle).Originally posted by Tarlam!Don't agree with these. I think we have a bad secondary. That's the only place I notice bad coaching.Originally posted by Fosco33Poor coaching, Two bad teams.
We're an average/below average team. We could be average with some luck and a better secondary - injuries have hurt this team but we've rebounded to some degree.
We had to win this one.The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have.

I think this team could be damn good by the end of the year Fosco. I think they have the defense to get it done, an improving secondary, and an offense that at times really looks like it can't be stopped. This team reminds me of 2003 except switching around the roles of the offense and defense.

I think M3 outcoached Saban today. Going for it on 4th and not going FG was guttsy and the real turning point.
3 rookies in the line and Green breaks one for 70. The D pressured Joey into 3 INTs.
Just my opinion...but I think there is a lot of positive stuff here.

WR/RB/OL are big question marks. Secondary is a question mark - partly due to scheme/coaching. DL, LB are improving. The OLine is doing 'ok' but goes to max protection too often - then relying on WRs to get open and going short routes. Our running game looks better with one run of 70 by AG - without that it was pretty pathetic.Originally posted by PartialI think this team could be damn good by the end of the year Fosco. The key here was turnovers, points off turnover and ability to react to big plays.
We could be good but I'm not confident saying we're a good team - yet.The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have.
