It doesnt look like it from here. Who would you rather have that is not as highly paid as him? I know its the 2005 season but man its not like he is just killing it here.
Swede: My expertise in this area is extensive. The essential difference between a "battleship" and an "aircraft carrier" is that an aircraft carrier requires five direct hits to sink, but it takes only four direct hits to sink a battleship.

So you see a better player for the money?

This is misleading. It doesn't paint a true picture of the contract KGB signed and how much he has been paid. It's like Javon saying he only made $500,000/year when he got a $5M signing bonus his rookie year. I believe the total compensation for KGB on his last contract was around $25M for 5 years.

I'm going on the opposite logic of Walker. The club signed a deal with him for a certain amount of money. He shows up every day for work and busts his butt day in and day out. They signed the deal, they should pay it whether it's too much or not.

I take it this is a rhetorical question.

And, or course, they are paying him.

RG and I went round & round on this one.

Add Marcus Spears and Justin Smith to ND's list and give me anyone of 'em over KGB.

I don't care that Kabeer is a solid citizen and a good guy. I don't care that his contract now falls into line with other DE's.

He's getting paid to stop the run AND rush the passer with more than one move.

He can't do it anymore. (& the guy has played a LOT better lately)

We kept our end of the bargain, he can't play up to his end.

He gets cut the early part of next year.

That list is cash paid out this year. It doesn't factor in his original signing bonus or guaranteed money. Or the cap hit for cutting him. All as important as his cash and cap number.

You are also comparing him out of position. He should be a third down pass rush specialist and backup DE. My guess is that he is at the top of the pay list for backup DE.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

Think I'll roll another number for the road.
