Damn baby, look at that facemask!

That mask appears to serve two purposes:
1) Fulfill the NFL requirement that a helmet have a facemask.
2) Protect the throat in case of an attack by the Master of the Flying Guillotine or anyone else with designs on cutting one's throat.

I can't say that 2) has ever crossed my mind before in the context of football, but in retrospect that punter might be a smart guy.

That stuff is gnarly. Being of Czech decent (among other Euro nations), my pops gave me a bottle once.

I mistook his quick instructions (teaspoon of sugar, carmalize and drink) - instead of a shot I used a glass and all I had was brown sugar. That was a crazy New Year's Eve.
