I was reading the AP's story on the game today and the story mentioned that Green's 70 yeard touchdown run was the longest of his career. I'm pretty sure that Green scored a 90+ yard run a couple of years back against the Broncos. Somebody help me out so I don't have to look it up.

Re: Somebody help me out
I thought there was one that was like 99 yards as well and was a NFL record. I dont recall exactly. Maybe those were receptions and/or playoff gamesOriginally posted by PackerTimerI was reading the AP's story on the game today and the story mentioned that Green's 70 yeard touchdown run was the longest of his career. yeah, that TD vs. the Broncos was a week 17 game, 99 yards..."I would love to have a guy that always gets the key hit, a pitcher that always makes his best pitch and a manager that can always make the right decision. The problem is getting him to put down his beer and come out of the stands and do those things." - Danny Murraugh

no, i'm positive it said longest td run of his career. and on a related note this was in the JS's game story
The same probably could be said for Green, who finished with 118 yards in 18 carries. The last time that he had a carry for more than 35 yards was Week 7 in 2004, or 18 games ago. His last 100-yard performance was Week 9 of '04.
or it was in week 1 of 2006 against the bears. nice to see our local journalists high regard for accuracy.GO PACK!!!!

But accuracy isn't always very interesting!Originally posted by PackerTimerno, i'm positive it said longest td run of his career. and on a related note this was in the JS's game story

I'm not doubting what you said. Actually your follow-up was my point. They haven't been the most accurate lately. For further observations on this topic please see Patler's thread on Lori Nickel's article.

"The Packers (2-4), who won for the first time in Miami, were 5½-point underdogs even against a Dolphins team that slipped to 1-6. "
In fact, The Pack won SuperBowl II in Miami. It was Vince's last game as coach of the Pack. I guess I can understand how Bob McGinn could forget about that game!

I couldn't get the sound for the game, being out-of-state and all, and unable to receive DirecTv at my domestic residence.
Does anyone care to elaborate on the announcing? I heard Matt V. was a total Packers homer, which is better than having someone like Joe THEES-man, who is usually biased *against* the Packers. But I have heard repeatedly that the announcing was bad, without any specific examples.
Not that I don't believe you, but I am just curious...
P.S. Nice job picking up the slack on the Green TD.
