There is no way of yet knowing for sure who might be available for the supplemental draft this year. Usually its players who have used up their eligibility without realizing they have. Some may have petitions pending at the NCAA, some may become academically ineligible or be suspended by the school because of their performance this semester, which of course is not yet done. Often there is uncertainty regarding which players will be in the supplemental draft until very near to when it is conducted,

IF we have a fact finder in the group they can verify if I'm right or wrong, but I'm pretty sure I've read Ahman Brooks is going to be in the supplemental draft this year. And he's been an outstanding LB in college and many feel he will warrant a team giving up a 2nd round pick for him.
Ziggy, to answer your question the reason teams grab the player is so they guarantee they receive him. If everybody would just pass and just let him be a FA 31 out of 32 teams would lose out on the chance.............note Packers free agent offseason for multiple examples of this.
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

wow - forgot Bosworth was a sup pick.

Think of the trouble Seattle could've saved themselves by making him pee in a bottle.

I believe Wahle was dismissed from the Naval Academy for testing positive for a banned substance.

              ephedra? fireworks?

              I never heard this.

In service academies, anybody can leave in the first 2 years without consequence. After that, the government can force them into the service as enlisted for 3 years or something. If they graduate, it is a 5-year obligation from there. Some people in their senior year take-up pot-smoking and get kicked-out without having to serve further, since gov doesn't want stoners in the military. Quite the dodge.

Yes, at the time the story was that Wahle was dismissed from the team for using a "substance" that was never identified. He then requested an out from the Academy. I'm surprised you hadn't heard it HH. Thats all that was said at the time, an unidentified "substance."

Of course the rumors ranged from legal but Academy prohibited body building supplements to marijuana to steroids. When the Packers drafted him, all they said was that it was not a reason that caused the Packers any concern at all, which made it sound like a legal substance, but one that was prohibited at the Academy.

Wist is member here, but doesn't post.

Sounds like Wahle had an awfully convienent illegal substance.

But you've kind of got his gallows humor aura going for you lately.
