I would be soooo surprised if TT trades Walker. I think he'll let him rot just to set the tone in Green Bay. As Ziggy pointed out, TT is in no hurry to do this deal, or be remotely competitive this season.
TT has been no BS since day one. What you see is what you get. Play hard, get a Kampy size reward. Cry foul, get a Walker style shaft. And I agree with this! Let J-Walk walk when the light is green!
I only think poor ol' DD should get a reward. If Lelie came in, say, DD is still gonna be at least a 1B receiver, surely!
If a contract extension is required, not to mention a passed physical, for the trade of Walker to be made, can this really happen by this weekend? Unless Denver already knows what kind of contract they'd give Walker and they've already ran it by him, I don't see how we get top dollar for him. Here's a guy who has whined about his contract the last 2 years. Is this something the Broncos would really look forward to as soon as he steps foot in Denver? Do you think Walker will be happy with his current years salary with just different scenery? Unless they already have worked it out, it seems like a slightly higher risk to rock the boat of a team that was so close to going to the Super Bowl.
I've been thinking of him since I was reading that the possibility exists we don't use enough cap space this season. If there is cash to be spent, I think to DD's a really good place to toss it.

Maybe TT will hang onto Walker. I guess this is a possibility. Walker is a very good receiver so I would love to keep him provided he wasn't a cancer. If he is going to be a cancer, then trade him off for a second rounder. But don't trade him for only a third.
Eagles | Heckert won't discuss trading for J. Walker
Mon, 24 Apr 2006 18:32:29 -0700
Larry O'Rourke, of the Morning Call, reports Philadelphia Eagles vice president of player personnel Tom Heckert declined to get into specifics of a possible trade with the Green Bay Packers for Packers unhappy WR Javon Walker. He did indicate trades are possible, maybe even likely, given the Eagles' abundance of draft picks. "I don't think we'll make (a trade) during the week," Heckert said. "Maybe draft day. And it could be while a team is on the clock (to make a pick), because they'll want to see if they can get anything better."
