I have no way of predicting that will 'in fact' be the case.
actually, shudnt TT and MM be telling their players to step it up? our team is young and if the players continue to mature like jennings, oline, hawk, collins, blackmon as well as the new rookies this year, then we have a shot at the playoffs next season.
    YES !

That's a fair rebuttal and certainly a large part of the big picture.

          ESPN PROJECTION

          ESPN highlighted the Packers:

          1. Packers deserved a "B" grade for their performance last year.

          2. Biggest question mark is our defense. We need better run defense, and especially better safety play.

          3. One analyst said we could win the North next year, while the other said we won't even make the playoffs stating we lack a consistent running threat.

Projected first 2 rounds in draft:

First pick: Marshawn Lynch, RB, Cal, the "perfect fit."

Second pick: Robert Meacham, WR, Tennessee, the perfect big play fit.

I would be plenty happy with this draft, the odds arent likely but that would be amazing

Very unlikely that Meacham lasts until 46. He may go late first round, even.

SORRY GUYS, MEACHAM HAS "WHOOPS" REPUTATION...PACK BETTER OFF WITH RICE OR BOWE, BIG PLAY AND RED ZONE ROOKIE WRS, IF THE CHOICE IS AVAILABLE FROM THEM.

                    Robert Meacham Wide Receiver
                    School: Tennessee
                    Height: 6′3″
                    Weight: 210
                    Projected Round: 1st-2nd

                    Positives:

                    Total package at wide receiver
                    Tall and strong
                    Has strength to overpower corners
                    Intermediate and red zone threat
Good quickness and can make plays once the ball is in his hand

                    Negatives:

Only one successful year at college so it might have been a fluke
                    Has problems dropping passes
Has problems believing in his own ability

Personally id rather trade down in the first and take Sidney Rice. Then in the secound take Zach miller

But thats providing that Landry and Nelson are gone. Those are my top 2 picks

If I had a choice of any WR it would be Bowe. I wouldn't mind Rice, but he catches to often with his body and not his hands, so that concerns me.

On regards to our record I'm gonna say 10-6.

                          I'm a homer

Lets take a serious look at who Gb plays.

Bears - went 1-1 with them last year. Grossman has bad game and then states he didn't prepare. BS! GB outplayed their starters on both sides. It may not have been an improtantgame but you don't getthat spanked when your a good team. I say Gb can win both games, just error free football. Even the first game GB moved into Bear territory quiet a few times, but stupid mistakes cost the game. I say GB wins both this year, but to be merciful we'll say they split. so Gb is 1-1.

Vikings - Need alot of improvement and GB can still beat them, so I see 2 wins here. Gb is 3-1

Lions - Millen still GM, enough said. GB 5-1

                            Against AFC WEst teams.
Chargers - If not in Gb in December then I think GB will lose. If in GB in December they have a chnce. GB 5-2

Raiders - December or September, GB wins. GB 6-2.

Chiefs - GB cab beat them as they have no outside receivers. Will be able to double up on Gomzales and Johnson is a north south runner, GB LBs should be able to conatin him. GB win and now 7-2.

Broncos - Seem to fall apart each year. Depending on how well Cutler deveops is how good this team is. For frst time Broncos running game faltered. GB can beat the Bronocs. GB 8-2.

                            NFC East:
Redskins asre a lot hardre than they look but Gb can beat them. GB 9-2.

Cowboys in Dallas - Dont' know why, but Gb chokes in dallas so here is a loss. 9-3.

Giants - Defense is old and getting older. No Tikki Barber and Eli not as good as they wouldlike. GB wins. GB 10-3.

Eagles - Don't know why, but eagles eem to own GB even thoiugh they play them tough. Eagles winn. GB 10-4.

Next up are Panthers, who have one WR, and I think harris & Woodson will be able to take care of that. GB wins 11-4.

Rams - Can't seem to beat this team so will give them the win. GB 11-5.

My guess is 11-5, but depending on the other teams development I can see GB finishing 9-7. I think this team has a better attitude going into next year.

GB may have had an easier schedule at the end of last year, but they did something at the end they haven't done in many years. They came from behind in the second half and also won when Brett had bad games. The Lions and Vikings were bad games for Brett, but the defense didn't lose it. Instead they held on an GB won. No longer did the players hang there heads when Brett fumbled or threw an int. They didn't fall apart just because Favre and the offense gave up a turnover or didn't play well. The defsne pitched a shut out against the VIKes (TD was an int return). Thisis what got Brett excited about coming back.

This gave Brett more confidence. I think next year the offense will improve as Brett will not see that it all falls to him to win. ithink they keep his ints down and the offense gets better. The defense is in good shape as long as there are no major injuries. I feel the safety play willimprove and this will be a legitimate top ten defense next year.

Some of the teams GB plays are getting old and you will see some drop off in talent and play.

Eagles, Giants, Chiefs, and Vikings old have old defensive teams. Could easily see a drop off in play and if left on field too long can tire easily.

Raiders, Redskins, Lions, and Vikings are teams in transition. They have old players in key defensive or offensive posiitons and just too many holes to fill in one off-season.

Cowboys, Panthers, and Chiefs are teams with old offensive players. The Cowboys OL is old and their WR are getting older, the Pantehsr have one offensive threat (Smith) and this offense is also old. Chiefs Ol is old and after losing Rolfe are now losing another Tackle. Only real receivingthreat is Gonzales and the QB siutation doesn't look all that good.

So my final prediction is 10-6 (difference between 9-7 & 11-5).
