    Where did the visor go??? ... Any reason he took it off???

        Those shields get dirty, muddy, and can fog up in the cold weather. Guys tend to switch around depending on the time of year, like Fritz said.

          I seem to recall that tinted visors had been banned. There was a time when all the linemen seemed to be going that way for the Darth Vader look. IIRC the complaint was that if a guy went down you couldn't see his eyes to know if he was alert or not.

          Were they ever actually banned?

            I believe that tinted visors can only be used for medical reasons.

                    Correct, only allowed for medical reasons. Tomlinson uses one for migraine headaches.
