i think rice was slower like 4.5'sOriginally posted by BretskyWhat about Rice ? He's a stop up from Bowe IMO.Originally posted by redmeachem i think would be our guy if we decide to draft a wr in round 1. i'm now on the bandwagon
he's exactly what we need, tall, fast, and great hands. he's the deep threat we need
bowe and jarrett don't bring that to the table
bow is a big target, but we already have two good wr's that run in the 4.5 range that can get open and catch the ball. we need something diferent to open up the passing attack

Gonzalez is a better WR than Ginn is. Ginn has fantastic return abilities, thus his stock is higher. I work with several OSU alums who follow the team, watch games, etc. All of them have said that Gonzalez is a better WR than Ginn.Originally posted by VegasPackFanI'm amazed at Anthony Gonzales' results. He is right up there in just about every category. Could he have been that underrated from playing in the shadow of Ted Ginn? All hail the Ruler of the Meadow!

Problem is then we have 3 good solid receivers with none of them being the deep threat or big-play guy we need.

But he ran a 4.44 40 and had a 4.08 in the cones. Steve Smith is 4'9 but he's a big deep threat. You dont have to be tall to go deep.Originally posted by PartialGonzalez would be a solid, solid second pick.Originally posted by ZoolThis is what I've been saying for a couple months now. Seriously, there are just too many numbers to look at. I bet guys like TT just check to see if the numbers aren't glaringly off and then pick according to what they see on tape and what scouts saw in games. remember TT saying last year that he had guys reminding him to not get enamored with the numbers and just draft players...."Never, never ever support a punk like mraynrand. Rather be as I am and feel real sympathy for his sickness." - Woodbuck
