Man, will he be missed. I hope he has a great broadcasting career. He was always one of my favorite locker room interviews to watch. Great player, great guy.

Absolutely--hands down. I wish them both all the best.Originally posted by HarveyWallbangersAgreed.
Hendo and Ahman. Two guys that will be in the Packer Hall of Fame some day.Teamwork is what the Green Bay Packers were all about. They didn't do it for individual glory. They did it because they loved one another.

I'm a bit confused about this situation, doesn't Hendo have one more year? The only thing I can come up with; I'm guessing the Packer's brass feel they're doing Hendo a favor by letting him go now, instead of later, so he has a better chance of signing with another team - if he still wants to play?
I'll admit, last year I was all about making sure he got signed. His play has really dropped off. He's lost his pop. Good luck to him!

We hashed this over in a thread a while back and I think there was a large consensus that would like to see Henderson come back to the Packers as a coach much the way Edgar Bennett did.
We all love Henderson and will miss him. Hopefully it wont be long before he's back with the organization in some capacity.
And may I be one of the first to state that he has a possibility of being a TV guy. He's very well spoken and knows the game. I could see him moving into a sideline reporter role immediately, if that's what he chooses.Life is a puzzle. Every day you get up and pick up the pieces from the day before.

Thinking about how I feel about William Henderson as a professional led me to thinking about whether I would want to see Randy Moss wearing the same uniform that Henderson did. The thing is though, Favre would probably say yes. It's a tough call.I can't run no more

What hasn't been really talked about is his presence on special teams. He has played on them his whole career including last year. If we can keep scrubs around just to fill those voids why not keep a pro bowl FB around? It doesn't make any sense to cut him now. It would make more sense to cut him during training camp if his performance wasn't up to par. I agree that this could be a move by the Packers to let him go and sign with another team for more money. It's obvious that TT doesn't believe in loyalty. I expect the following players to be let go over the next two seasons as well: Chad Clifton, Mark Tauscher, Donald Driver, Bubba Franks, Nick Barnett, KGB, Robert Ferguson, Brett Favre, Al Harris and Davis the long snapper. That will complete TT's "house cleaning" in an effort to make this his team."Once the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the Republic.”

So he's not only dropping both starting tackles, he's dropping guys who are either HOF bound or he just signed to extensions in the last 12 months?Originally posted by MerlinWizard222What hasn't been really talked about is his presence on special teams. An extension is not a guarantee of work in the NFL. Whale, Rivera, Walker, Green, Martin, Henderson, Flannigan, Diggs and many others were let go. All of them could have been resigned. No HOFer's in that group..."Once the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the Republic.”
