The Associated Press reports Chicago Bears general manager Jerry Angelo is expecting LB Lance Briggs to play with the team in 2007. Briggs recently said he wants out of Chicago, and he wants the team to either remove the franchise tag or trade him. Angelo said, "We have his rights, so he's on our football team. We feel that we're treating him very good. That's a lot of money he's making on a one year-deal. The strain really comes to us in terms of our cap and what we have to do for a one-year deal."

Have Lance call Mike McKenzie to see how the sore hamstring gambit works.[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

I predict Matt Millen will trade the 2nd pick of the draft for Briggs and then move him to Wide Receiver.I can't run no more
With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
A thundercloud
They're going to hear from me - Leonard Cohen

By the end, I think the Packers actually thought Walker would not play for them. Would have been interesting to see if he stuck to that plan. Not good for morale, but interesting.Originally posted by Scott CampbellBears expect Briggs to play.

Packers expect McKenzie to play.
I might have some idea of how this one ends.Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.
