TT is setting up a situation where he HAS TO draft well

I don't think there were any players in FA that would put us over the tp and into the playoffs. Therefore I think TT has done the right thing by holding his money. The moves I rhink he will make are the following:
1. Trade down and take NE's 2-#1 for our 16th. The reason being NE has spent a lot of money in FA and will have a hard time meeting payroll with 2 first round guys. Also don't think there will be any different playmakers in the late first rounds vs. the 16th pick.
2. Use the cap money and tie up long term deal w/ Barnett.
3. Continue to fill holes w/ FA as teams start cutting players due to cap issues. (How we got Grady)

I don't know if we sign Moss but a RB and CB will be drafted that will make an impact. The rest of our roster will improve and we should see an improvement in our record. I don't know if we make the playoffs this season but we will the year after.

Thats my reasoning for TT's action.

i think teddy's plan is to continue to build the team on the cheap, which would explain why they kept so many young guys on ir and signed so many undrafted fa's after the season.

maybe they already have what he thinks they need at rb in vernand morency, chris pope and noah herron, and that's why he let ahman walk.

maybe he feels tory humphries is ready to have a breakout season at te.

maybe he feels he has all he needs at wr in carlyle holiday, chris francies and punky brewster. maybe he expects k-rob to be fully reinstated after his suspension ends.

and maybe he feels that kevin barry will return from injury and re-solidify the off tackle position.

i sure hope he's right, whatever the hell he's thinking.
