Chris Mortensen just reported on ESPN radio,

That Favre has been campaigning since the Super Bowl to get Moss but that McCarthy and TT are "reluctant"

Also, that the speculation isn't "wild" per se, as the front office has reported that they indeed have had discussions, but that the rumors yesterday created this false sense of urgency.

He also said that the Packers may have a false sense of security because they won their last 4 games in December, and that they need another WR and a RB to win.

This is a bunch of crap. Thompson wouldn't make ANY personnel move just to appease Favre. That's one thing he's shown in his tenure as GM.
