  • Stats on Packers Thanksgiving Day games

In another thread, I voiced my dismay over hearing the Packers will play the Lions on Thanksgiving Day this year.

One of my arguments for my opposition was that historically, the Packers have a poor record for that day.

Here are the disturbing statistics for the Packers T-Day record:

    11-18-2 All time T-Day record

5-11-1 T-Day record against the Lions

Even during the Lombardi era, the Packers did not do well against the Lions. This scheduling change is not a good one for the Packers, IMO.

Although I love watching the Packers play, especially when it's on a day off not on the weekend , I dread the Thanksgiving Day game. It seems the only time the Lions play well on Thanksgiving is when they play the Packers!
