I was inspired by another poster, Chester Marcol, so I decided to make this poll. Without a doubt, I'd bet money he'll end up on injured reserve during the upcoming season (assuming he doesn't get cut.) If I had to pick, I'd choose he'll go down for good in the middle of the season.

They will stick with him because he was injured and he is a vet. Only after a season of less then mediocrity will TT get rid of him. By then he will have no trade value what-so-ever so we will have to eat his contract (whatever is left of it)."Once the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the Republic.”

You have to know that a balloon year is coming up. He signed a 5 year extension in 2004 and counts $2.5 Mil towards the cap in 2007. It looks like he will be a $3.0 Mil hit next year. He had a $3.5 Mil signing bonus and a $1 Mil roster bonus in 2005 both I believe have to be spread out. His base isn't bad this season, $1.8 Mil and then $2.2 Mil next season. The big jump was from 2005 to 2006 when it went up almost a Mil. Anything over 1 Mil for a guy who has been injured most of his career is a joke."Once the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the Republic.”

Yes, it turns out to be a 4 year extension because in 2004 he actually took a pay decrease within the extension so 2004 was basically like the first year of the 5 year extension. So on paper it's 5 years but in reality it's only 4. How it's reported is anyone's guess because his contract was a mess to figure out."Once the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the Republic.”

This could be the end for him.. I know we've all heard what a great heart he has, and a good locker room presence, but it may be time to cut bait and let him go.
The Pack opted for Fergie over Chris Chambers right? Wonder how things would've worked out with CC in place of Fergie
Maybe he can find a job in Houston with his old coach! My Two favorite teams are the Packers, and whoever plays the Vikings!
