    Backup QB Sorgi signs one-year Colts offer sheetAssociated Press


    INDIANAPOLIS -- Colts backup quarterback Jim Sorgi has signed an $850,000 one-year tender to stay with Indianapolis.


    Sorgi


    The team announced the deal to keep its backup to Super Bowl MVP Peyton Manning on Friday. Sorgi was a restricted free agent.

    In three seasons, he has played in 10 games -- mostly in mop-up duty. He's completed 59-of-90 passes for 619 yards, thrown five touchdowns and one interception. His career passer rating is 99.3.

    smart move... Sit behind Payton one more year... Gain more experience... Next year comes around, a lot of QB's will be out of jobs, then i'm sure he could go compete for a starting job...

      We're talking about Jim Sorgi from Wisconsin right? I'll take $$$ to sit behind Manning my entire career.

          a couple years ago majik said if he would have been content being favre's backup he might still be playing. sorgi and the guy carrying tiger woods' clubs do have it cushy.
          Think I'll roll another number for the road.

              If Manning ever comes close to Favre's consecutive start record I'm sure some Rats will make sure something is done to prevent him from breaking the record.
