4.41 isn't bad.. He could probably do in the high 4.3's if does 4.41.

Jackson pick surprised me, but in retrospect he seems like a prototypical ZBS kind of guy. His burst and awareness are apparently high quality, so he's the kind of guy we need. I'm reasonably comfortable with Running Back by Committee splitting time with Morrency/Jackson/Pope. I'm not comfortable with any of those guys on their own, but the whole lot should be able to get some things done.

Gil Brandt of NFL.com thinks highly of Jackson....

"Jackson has a chance to be the real surprise of this draft, as far as running backs go. He reminds me of Frank Gore and Rudi Johnson. A three-year player at Nebraska who left a year early, he's a complete back. He's a real good receiver; you don't have to take him out in passing situations."

Strengths: Possesses excellent size and adequate upper body strength. Has good straight-line speed for his size. Reads keys quickly, is aggressive and flashes the ability to make plays in the backfield. Possesses good athletic ability for his size and flashes the ability to stay with tight ends in man coverage. Is tall, has good leaping ability and can compete for jump balls. Has great ball skills and consistently makes big plays in coverage. He's smart and does a good job of getting teammates lined up correctly.

Weaknesses: Fills quickly versus the run be he's not as physical or explosive as his great sized would indicate. Doesn't always use hands well and at times takes too long to shed blocks. Needs to improve his open-field tackling skills. Can be overaggressive, is vulnerable to play action and doesn't have the second gear to recover once caught out of position. Though he saw some time at corner at the collegiate level, his ability to change directions isn't elite and he will struggle to match up with slot receivers in the NFL.

Overall: Piscitelli appeared in all 13 games, mostly on special teams, in 2003 as a true freshman and made six total tackles, one interception, and one pass breakup. He started all 12 games at strong safety in 2004 and recorded 54 total tackles, three tackles for loss, five interceptions, eight pass breakups, one fumble recovery, and one forced fumble. In 2005, Piscitelli started all 11 games finishing the year with 53 total tackles, three tackles for loss, four interceptions (one returned for a 23-yard touchdown), eight pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries. He started all 14 games in 2006, earning first team All-Pac 10 honors after registering 75 total tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack, 11 pass breakups, and five interceptions.
Piscitelli displays impressive speed for such a big defensive back. He also is an instinctive and intelligent player. However, while he shows good athletic ability for his size, he's not fluid enough to cover the deep-middle of the field as a safety. Also, while some project him as an outside linebacker, he does not display the explosive power or toughness to make the transition in the NFL. In our opinion, Piscitelli has enough upside to warrant early second-day consideration but he's not worth drafting any earlier.

I'm a little nervous that he reached for need. I was nervous that he did that last year with Colledge too.

TT's not stupid enough to think we can be effective with Morency and Herron.
I know the BPA thing is a wonderful way of explaining things but GM's also consider need as well and weigh that into the equation.

I liked Bush better but feel good about this pick.
