I think Hawk, Harrell and Jennings all stand a chance at being probowl guys.

Hawk next year, Jennings within 2 or 3 and Harrell a year or so away.

I think they all have the ability to make the probowl. I think Collins does too but I doubt his ability to every be consistant. I think he's going to flash and fade throughout his career.

Hmm... Is "flashing and fading" the sign of a good second round pick?

That description kind of reminds me of Cleditus Hunt and Torrance Marshall.

Collins isn't Hunt or Marshall; he's a decent player who has the ability to get a lot better.

Marshall was never a player; Hunt was lazy with flashws. Collins has never shown to be apathetic or lazy.

I am worried Abdul Hodge will fall into the bust category. He looks like a Torrency Marshall type; great physically but just too stiff. I hope I'm wrong
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

          B,

I said the description reminded me of those two, not Collins' play. I just wanted to know if "inconsistent" was a good trait for a second round pick?

Sure sounded like Greg thinks Collins will always be "inconsistent".

I'm not crazy about the draft, but as they say give it a year or two to really know what we got.

Even though I was like WTF on the Harrell pick I still think he could turn into a stud. Looking at some of his pictures while playing looks like he has massive arms. Arms like Reggie White had and White used his sheer strength to bull rush and push players out of his way. Hopefully Harrell will be that type of disruptive force.

Brandon Jackson sounds intrigueing (sp?), hopefully he can contribute.

Aaron Rouse looks like he could play himself into a starting role. It sure would be nice if he replaced Manual.

Mason Crosby looks like he could be a steal. Looks like he needs some work, but he has a 68% touchback record. We need someone that can do kickoffs like that.

Now a TE that runs a 4.8 40? Don't we already have a slow TE that can't stretch the field? Well, he was a 7th rd pick so no biggie.

This Desmond Bishop ILB sounds like a Hodge clone.

Looks like we got some value in those "extra pick" dudes.

We probably won't get 5 starters out of this draft, but it still could be a good one for us.

I echo the Thanx, Ras. Good job on posting this info.

I know I'm being waaaayyy optimistic here, and I'm not trying to jinx the kid, but did anyone else read Brandon Jackson's strengths and think he sounds like Emmitt Smith?

Strengths: He's a shifty back with excellent balance and body control. Displays the ability to stop and start with great ease. Shows good vision and possesses the initial burst to quickly hit the crease he sees developing. Runs with outstanding pad-level and always seems to be under control. He is a slippery runner that doesn't seem to take a lot of big hits and elusive enough to consistently make defenders miss one-on-one in space. He shows good toughness as an inside runner and will keep his legs driving after contact. Also displays enough burst to consistently turn the corner as an outside runner. He lacks elite speed but he does have a second-gear in the open-field and can beat some defensive backs in a foot race. He's a reliable underneath receiver and he's shifty and dangerous after the catch. He has been durable and he doesn't have much mileage on his legs.

He actually reminds me a little of a poor man's Edgerrin James or possibly Dominic Rhodes with his running style.
