I don't see anything on this Crosby kid here. He is supposed to be one hell of a K. Looks like Rayner is one and done.

Don't pencil in Crosby just yet. These kids are going to have to battle through camp to get the job.

NFLN was saying he's got an unbelievable leg but struggled badly at the combine.

In colorado though.. Balls sail in Colorado. With that said, lets see what he can do. We weren't going to get anyone better w/ that pick so I am quite happy with the selection.

He only played half his games at home, and had 138 touchbacks in 203 kickoffs, with 88 having gone through the endzone. Altitude may have helped his kicks some, but does it make a "through the end zone" kick out of one that would be fielded at the 10 yard line in GB? I doubt it. My guess is that the 88 that went through the endzone would make it into the enzone in decent weather at most places. Maybe not deep enough to prevent a return, but long anyway.

Plus, he says he always strives for height, to lessen returns if they are returned. Distance seems to come naturally for him.

Thats why I mentioned the ones he hit at Iowa State and Miami. That demonstrates he can hit long ones anywhere.

At least TT didn't waste a 3rd rd pick on this guy like Shermy did on Sanders.

Yeah, his 2 longest field goals made weren't in Colorado.

He can stay on the team as a deep kicker just to keep the ball away from Hester.

One thing I saw that's a little concerning is that with 30-40 yarders he hooks the ball quite a bit. That's something that Rayner does, too. He should be able to work it out, though.
