  • New Packers Roster

I don't know about you but I think the Packers depth is getting better, lots of competition this year, especially at WR, RB, CB, & LB. I think JJ & Clowney will make it, Bodiford might return punts, Rory Johnson & Juwan Simpson might suprise, the special teams should be a lot better this year, they can't get much worse.

Ah, see we're back at 5 TE's again. All is right in TT's world!

When did Boger go to TB? I missed that. I was sure he was on our practice squad.

My guess is we will keep more than 4 WRs and less than 5 TEs this time.

I think this is the end of the line for the Cole Train.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with some players that have been on the roster for awhile, namely Fergie, Coston and Barry. With the new blood and youth movement - Fergie and Barry should be worried. I honestly think Barry is gone, he doesn't fit the system and has had weight issues, something the staff was on him about last year (well, at least Jagz was). Coston's entering his third year. He better show something now or one of the younger guys is going to take his spot.

Then we need a new vehicle. Rouse anyone?

Fergie is all but gone--and we could have had Chris Chalmers in his place...

They need to stick Coston in one position and let him fight it out. I honestly don't even know where he is penned in to play, he stunk where ever he was.

Barry would be a nice power RT or RG in the right system and could be trade bait.

Fergie just cannot stay healthy enough to even play, most likely gone or low round trade bait (conditional 7th etc).

I really thought they'd move Barry on draft day.

Now that the draft is over, who still needs a RT - Giants, Dallas?

With Fergie's injury history, etc. I don't think the Pack could get anything for him alone, unless they package him with someone else.

I see the Raiders took Tollefson off the PS too. Bastards.

Doesn't look much different from last years......

edit: that is not always a bad thing.

what I dont mind with drafting so many players, and inviting so many to camp is that we have a better chance of keeping the best players at each position. Somehow it worked last year and I think its a good way of doing it since we do already have most of our starting positions filled, now we build depth.

Who is going to trade for a backup OT who is coming off a serious injury? I think he's better off waiting for Barry to come back and prove he's healthy. He might be able to get a late draft pick--if that is the case.

I like the idea of Barbre playing ST's. He's 6'4" 300 lbs and runs a 4.8 40. I get the feeling this guy is going to be a good special teams player.

Rouse looks like a good one too. Add to that Crosby and the apparent overall depth and I agree that our ST's might take a big step forward.
