    Sadly.

I am 100% confident that as a team we won't improve on 8-8 this season.

I just hope that in 40% of the games we can hold it together.
If you're 100% certain of anything, why even watch the games? The whole appeal of competition is that everyone has a chance. The Packers could go 0-16, they could go 16-0. Precisely nothing about competitive sports (particularly at the high level) is predetermined.

I'm sure there were a lot of New Orleans Saints fans who, after last year's draft, said things like "Despite the fact that we have Reggie Bush now, the Saints are still the Aints and with a rookie head coach they're not doing anything this year."

There's no point in saying that you're certain of anything in sports. You might strongly suspect that one team or another might be no good, but since you have no part in determining whether this, to say you're "Certain" of it is simply hyperbole.

first off, you have to have a punch to have a puncher's chance. no offensive improvement and a much tougher schedule equals a 6-10 or worse record.

if we do make the playoffs, we will be better prepared to actually win and go deep because of the talented teams we face during the season. they will help us understand how good we have to be to beat quality teams, not teams like the Vikings, Lions, and Dolphins ( although the dolphins did kick the Bears ass last year.)

You can see I accepted the only offer on the table. I doubt I'd fear taking anything you have to offer.

I would say just the opposite, 4 and 12. The Packers have too many young guys to expect success in a playoff atmosphere. I give the Packers an even chance of making the playoffs, but I also give them an even chance of taking a step back this year.

I agree it will be difficult to win with our youth in the playoffs. However, my point was that our young guys are now a year older and more experienced, and winning that game against the Bears last year was a huge confidence booster. It was like a playoff game for alot of our young talent. This year's schedule will better prepare us if we DO get in the playoffs.

Why would we take a step back when the core of the young players have a year under their belt. The o-line should be better, the LB's should be better, the young DB's should be better, and how important is it to have a veteran running back in the playoffs. Ask the Colts.

The most important position to have a veteran in the playoffs is QB. Once again, ask the Colts (and the Bears, for that matter). Very few Ben Rothlesburgers out there win in the postseason. Favre has been there, and the young guys can feed off of him. That's a huge plus.

Want me to soften up a tad Lurker64?

                      OK ! I'm easy.

We will NOT make the playoffs in 2007. That is my predeiction based on how all appears today.

I watch Packer games because I've been a Packer fan since 1958. I've experienced alot of losing as a Packer fan. I've gotten more used to that again since Ted Thompson became our exhalted GM.

                      Since Ted Thompson.

                      That sign says. . .

Hello !! Time to wake up. It's 12-20.

There are 18 other members here out of 45 that voted NO to playoffs so far. That seem to see what I see.
