  • Fergusson - play guard?

Clifton is stuck at LT. The only other position Fergy might be suited for is left guard.

Why not? Clifton will be 30 in a month, he isn't gonna play forever, and Fergy can move over when Clifton is retired.

From what I've read, Fergy is a physical talent more than a polished player. He can learn LG first. He could be a Mike Wahle-like player with great quickness and footwork.

Some of you guys will say u can't pay big money for a guard. F-you! They just spent 50 million for a 30-year-old CB who shows signs of being washed-up, and you dopes are throwing parties over it. F-you!

Lets rebuild this franchise starting with solid defensive and offensive lines.

Why would you wanna make Ferguson keep switching positions?

As much as I would love the Pack to shore up their line, Ferguson plays the wrong position.

Ferguson is NOT a guard. He's 6'6" and lean. he's not a mauler, he's a tackle. he's as true of a tackle to come out of college in a long long time. he's NOT a tackle.

he is very lean for such a big man. Unlike any other high ranked offensive lineman I have ever seen. He looks more like a young 8% body fat shaq then an orlando pace.

I was blown away by this.

I don't want him, but it's entirely plausible.

I think Jets moving up to #2 is a 50-50 proposition. If NO moves to #4, they likely take Hawk. That leaves D'Brick and Vernon.

I saw an interview with D'Brick today. Seems like a good and intelligent kid.
"There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson

I think the Saints, if they want Hawk over D'Brick they go to #4...the 49ers are also an interesting trader with their 2 1st round picks. But then do the Saints get D'Brick or Hawk, probably not.

Check your glasses Colonel. It says he's not a MAULER, he's a tackle.
Doughnuts, is there anything they can't do?

yeah...he's an aggressive player, but not a mauling type guard. if youw anna move him to guard, he will never make it in the NFL.

Check the last 4 words of his post.

                        It's says He's not a tackle.

I imagine the guy made a typo, but it is confusing.

I agree with the "tackle camp"

This kid is a natural tackle, but would get killed at guard by all the bull rushers.
