Re: Texans fan reaction mixed
Why do you feel Hawk will be gone? Because the Saints will trade the #2 to the Jets and take Hawk? I think that's a good chance.Originally posted by Rivers RutherfordFrom "this is ridiculous" to "you've got to be F'ing kidding me". I think Hawk is gone at 5, which sucks. Yeah the Saints could take Hawk. I still think they need a QB tho. Sounds like Brees' injury is progressing slowly. Remember that deal he signed is basically a one year deal.Originally posted by HarveyWallbangersWhy do you feel Hawk will be gone? Because the Saints will trade the #2 to the Jets and take Hawk? So on the board you mention Tank wouldn't get a pass for saying "TT fvcked up again"?[QUOTE=George Cumby] ...every draft (Ted) would pick a solid, dependable, smart, athletically limited linebacker...the guy who isn't doing drugs, going to strip bars, knocking around his girlfriend or making any plays of game changing significance.

Mario Williams is the 5th defensive linemen to be taken #1 in the last 20 years. The other four were Russell Maryland, Steve Emtman, Dan Wilkinson and Courtney Brown (busts or mild disappointments)."There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. I don't know what to think of what the Texans did, but it sure does make the draft even more interesting. What if New Orleans poops the bed and takes Ferguson because they've still got McAllister? And what if Tennessee is set on Young and takes him? The Jets take Bush, then? And would the Pack field offers from the tenth, eleventh, and twelfth teams who might want to move up and grab Leinart? Could the Packers pull a Ricky Williams on someone else and get one of the above-mentioned firsts, and a second, and a third? You still get a top-notch linebacker (Greenway) and two picks in the second and third rounds of a deep draft. Hmm..."The Devine era is actually worse than you remember if you go back and look at it."
