Did Brett say he didn't ask or allow Bus Cook to ask for a trade?

How does it serve the interests of anyone to spread a false rumor that Favre wanted to be traded? How would the Packers benefit?

I do think that someone is lieing and it isn't Brett Favre.

He was adamant that he didn't ask to be traded, and backed that up by saying he had no idea where that rumor came from.

That certainly can be supported by all he has ever said in the past.

He was also adamant that he never criticized his teammates talents or dedication.

He did say that he felt there could have been more done to shore up the offense, but isn't that a fact?

He said indeed that he was very frustrated that TT didn't land Randy Moss but that he was over that now and wanted to move forward.

    Brett Favre also said:

That he even still believed in the new talent on board, but they have to come together soon as his time was running out.

The majority of Packer fans are still in support of Favre.

Something stinks (though) in the State of Denmark.

Again, someone is either lieing or not coming out totally honest. If I'm correct this isn't over yet.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

He never critcized his offensive teammates.

But more can be done to shore it (offense) up.

Isn't this called whistling past the graveyard? Hoping no one notices you?

If the offense isn't up to snuff, you must be saying one or more of three things:

      1. We can't execute

      2. We have bad schemes

      3. We have a lack of talent

So who does Favre blame for a mediocre offense?
      It's too obvious.

      Lack of experience.

        For the record:

A "BASTICH" is defined as a cross between a Bastard and a Bitch.

The term "Bastiches" is simply the plural of the aforementioned Bastich.

Depending on your region - there are multiple spellings/pronunciations such as "Bastiges" or even the reverse combination of the two words:

        "Bitchtards"

which could also be interpreted as a cross between a bitch and a retard.

You may now resume your normal posting.

This may have totally been spun out of just the media?

I believe that if Favre never demanded or asked for a trade that Ted Thompson needs to step up and place his word on just that.

Ted Thompson has to make a statement that supports what Favre has gone public with.

That being that he (Brett Favre) has no idea where the talk of him asking for a trade came from.

I thought it came from this:

              I can't run no more
              With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
              Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
              A thundercloud

So failures of the offense rest on the shoulders of his teammates lack of experience, isn't it fair to say Favre has critcized his teammate's lack of experience?

And then isn't it fair to ask that question in a press conference?

And would it not be a stand up guy to say "Yes, I said I am concerned about experienced playmakers on the roster and that's why Randy Moss was attractive?"rather than "I dare you to show me where I criticized my teammates."

C' mon. He's playing a game of semantics.

If the offense Fails the blame sits on the slow motion Snapper.

He's brought in his young boys and has had two free agent seasons with money and two drafts to find playmakers. We are not short on cash that could have been used at WR, TE, or OL the past two years.

Hard for me to blame the young guys; they are clearly in their early stages of development.

It's up to Ted Thompson to give MM players ready to succeed.

If the offense fails, blame will be placed on MCCARTHY. He's a lame duck headed into 2008.

How can the blame be placed on McCarthy? He's been given very little to work with on offense. To this point, McCarthy has successfully managed to keep Favre on task for the most part. He has done a pretty good job overseeing the conversion to a new blocking scheme. He can't help the fact he has few weapons to work with.

                                What's he been given?

An OL with 3 inexperienced starters...along with a new system to teach to everyone.

A group of TEs that may be one of the worst tandems the league has seen in the last decade.

A large number of 1st and 2nd year players at the skill positions...which McCarthy has done well in developing to this point (Morency, Jennings showed signs last year)

An aging HOF QB who isn't capable of what he once was...and needed to be weened off an addiction to throw the ball up for grabs.

The only reliable guy with no major faults that McCarthy has had to work with is Driver. To blame McCarthy for being unable to turn that into a carbon copy of Indy's offense is ludicrous. Packer fans would not allow Thompson or management to pin failure on McCarthy.
