Who in the hell said we're looking for a better WR than Walker? He was a 1st rounder. Nothing we could do about him not wanting to be here. Best thing we could do is get picks for him which is what TT did. The WR situation will work itself out. Chill Tank..Wait til the draft is over to judge...www.ccso228@twitter.com

Those phone lines are burning up in Green Bay.
Good work on getting the details of the Atlanta trade. I couldn't find a thing anywhere.
Need to get a wideout, 2 guards, and one LB at least. A defensive end and a RB would be a plus.
I think we're seeing what TT means by "building the team through the draft".more freedom, less government. Go Sarah!

At this point, WHO KNOWS if he can? Maybe he finds a linebacker and a defensive back for Walker...Originally posted by Anti-Polar Bear
Fine, tell me how thompson can find a better WR in this draft not named jackson.
It doesn't matter. He's gone. sherman is gone. Get over it.
Root for Arizona. They've got Leinart.

NFL Team: Green Bay Packers 2006 Picks
1 5(5) AJ Hawk OLB OHIO STATE
Outside linebacker is among the Packers' most pressing needs, and Hawk is the best on the board. There are some questions about his hip fluidity and man-to-man cover skills, but he makes plays all over the field.

2 20(52)

I honestly don't know if there is a better WR in this draft than Jackson. I really haven't looked at WR's this year. All I know that we picked up three more 1st day picks, and since the Draft is really one big gamble, the more picks you have in the 1st day, the better. I can also guarantee that TT isn't done yet.Originally posted by Anti-Polar BearFine, tell me how thompson can find a better WR in this draft not named jackson.Originally posted by CyclonePackFanValue of a pro-bowl receiver who refuses to play for your team == 0Originally posted by Anti-Polar BearName one WR better than walker thompson can get out of this draft. name one.Originally posted by FritzTank, TT is kicking serious ass. We're going to get a pile of quality players with all these picks. Instead of hoping Chad Jackson pans out, you've got two or three guys that have that chance.
And JWalk was going to be a cancer. To get a high second rounder for that is good, esp. given his injury.
instead of quality, thompson is going for quantity. that is the work of a fuck up. fuck fuck fuck. i cant stop say fuck cos thompson keeps fucking up. fuck.

The trade with Atlanta
By trading the second-round draft pick that they acquired from the Denver Broncos and their own fifth-round choice to the Atlanta Falcons, the Green Bay Packers gave up 566.5 points in the point value system. The 37th overall choice acquired from Denver was worth 530 points and the fifth-round pick, the 139th overall, was worth 35.5 points.
In return, the Packers received a lower second, the 47th choice; a third, the 93rd pick; and a fifth, the 148th pick. Those three choices were worth 590.2 points. Their value follows: 47th choice (430 points), 93rd choice (128 points) and the 148th (32.2 points).
The Packers now have two second-round choices: 47th and 52nd. They also have three thirds: 67th, 75th and 93rd. And they have four picks going into Sunday: One fourth (104th overall); two fifths (148th and 165th) and one seventh (253rd).
That would give them a total of 10 picks. They started the day with seven.
