GOOD LORD I WANT STOVALL!!!Swede: My expertise in this area is extensive. The essential difference between a "battleship" and an "aircraft carrier" is that an aircraft carrier requires five direct hits to sink, but it takes only four direct hits to sink a battleship.

Living in North Pole, Alaska... If that's not Green Bay people I don't know what is. He's probably coming down here in January to warm up.
Daryn Colledge, OG
Boise State
OVERVIEW
Boise State quarterbacks must believe in Santa Claus all over again. They will also thank the jolly old man in red for bringing them a very nice present from the North Pole five years ago -- Daryn Colledge. One of the fastest down linemen in college football, Colledge, from North Pole, Alaska, is also one of the more physical pass protectors in the game today.
Colledge earned first-team All-State honors on defense, honorable mention honors on offense and as a punter following his senior season at North Pole High School. He received first-team All-Conference accolades for both offense and defense in 2000. Colledge was also a varsity letterman in baseball as an outfielder, and in track and field. He placed eighth at the state track and field championships in the shot put as a junior.
Colledge redshirted in 2001 at Boise State. He started every game at the demanding left tackle position in 2002, earning freshman All-America third-team honors from The Sporting News. He provided excellent pass protection as a sophomore, picking up second-team All-Western Athletic Conference recognition as the team ranked fifth in the nation with an average of 336.2 yards per game passing.
Colledge spent the off-season prior to the 2004 campaign in the BSU weight room and went on to set school records in the bench press (438 pounds), hang clean (464) and back squat (665). He started every game at left tackle as a junior, earning College Football News All-America accolades.
College was a first-team All-Western Athletic Conference selection in 2005. He started every game and was named the third-best tackle in college football by ESPN. He closed his career with a school record-tying 51 consecutive starts.
ANALYSIS
Positives: Has a lean, angular frame with decent overall muscle tone, long arms, good bubble, broad shoulders and defined chest...Flashes exceptional quickness for a down lineman, doing a nice job of extending his arms to make reach blocks and seal off edge rushers...Has good initial pop and hand usage...Explosive cut blocker who can get good position on defenders and works hard to sustain blocks...Has loose hips to position and wall off, playing with leverage...Gets out front quickly on traps and pulls, showing easy body movement and the ability to adjust on the move...Stays up and has good foot balance adjusting to linebackers downfield, taking good angles to cut off...Has good hand placement to gain separation and can kick slide fluidly in his pass set...His light feet allow him to slide down the line with ease...Has natural balance, doing a nice job of sinking his hips, sliding out and regrouping efficiently...Does a solid job in attempts to sink, mirror, sustain and adjust when protecting the pocket's blind side...Quick to locate zone coverage when working into the second level and has the foot speed to go long distances when leading on pulls...Knows how to use his long arms to seal and it is very rare to see him overextend because of this...Strong fist fighter who plays until the whistle.
Negatives: Frame has little room for additional growth...Powerful drive blocker, but when his base gets too narrow, defenders are quick to get underneath and push him back into the pocket...Despite his weight room strength, he struggles to maintain position vs. a strong bull rush...His speed is sometimes negated, as he will take a few extra steps coming out of his stance...When he gets too high in his stance, he tends to miss a lot on his arm swipes and also lacks pop on contact when he fails to keep his pads down...Can be much more effective as a pass protector if he anchored better, as his narrow base causes him to get knocked back too much...Slow to redirect when working in-line.
A four-year starter for the Broncos, Colledge has adequate size and bulk, but compensates with quickness and long arms to make reach blocks. He has great timed speed for a down lineman, but it is sometimes negated when he takes extra steps, which causes him to come off the ball a little late. He has good explosiveness and strength at the point to get movement or widen defenders.
Colledge is strong with his punch and gets his hands inside, showing strength with the ability to lock, but is more of a fist fighter than one who relies on placement. He is solid cutting off backside penetration, but seems to struggle when having to redirect inside (see 2004 Louisville game). He does not play with good pad level for his height, but shows good athleticism and quickness on his pulls.
Colledge can find his target in the second level, but needs to be more consistent hitting it square. His angles and speed to the second level are good and he can sustain or mirror on linebackers, but will whiff at times when landing high. He can flip his hips, but must show better consistency when attempting to seal back inside on the counter play.
In pass protection, Colledge's set speed and foot quickness is good but he struggles at times by oversetting and narrowing his base and will have to redirect and power down inside. He plays with good knee bend and has adequate anchor, but his punch can be a little wide and miss at times.
Colledge shows good timing and technique on cut blocks and can see and pick up twists. Colledge is best when he plays on his feet. He is a good athlete in space, and while his base in the running game gets a little narrow, it is correctable. He has a nasty streak to him and has the tools to be an effective left tackle at the next level, but like Houston's Chester Pitts, he will have to rely on his quickness, as he will not be able to grow much more.
AGILITY NOTES
Campus: 4.93 in the 40-yard dash...385-pound bench press...665-pound squat...438-pound power clean...464-pound hang clean...34.5-inch vertical jump...2.84 20-yard dash...4.54 20-yard shuttle...Right-handed.

CAREER NOTES
Tied for the all-time lead in games played (51) and games started (51) at Boise State...One of the strongest Broncos in the weight room, setting school records in the power clean (438 pounds, set in spring 2005), hang clean (464 pounds, set in spring 2005), and back squat (665 pounds, set in spring of 2005)...Also holds strength record on the offensive line in the vertical jump (35.5 inches, in spring 2004).

So what is the biggest need now? We got our LB stud, got some help on the O line and got our punt returner. SO what do you think is next. I wish that we would have taken Stovall however he is still on the board. I would like to see another LB and a RB. Need some playmakers and I hope they are still in the draft.Swede: My expertise in this area is extensive. Stuff from PFW on the 2nd round :
36. New England (from San Francisco)  WR Chad Jackson, Florida
The Patriots aggressively moved up to land a potential No. 2 receiver after losing David Givens to the Titans in the offseason. Jackson brings added value on reverses and screens and can be used in a multitude of ways to spark the offense.
37. Atlanta (from Denver and Green Bay)  CB Jimmy Williams, Virginia Tech
Inconsistencies, lack of discipline and too many mental lapses in his play pushed Jimmy Williams out of the first round. The Falcons feel more confident than many teams taking a chance on Williams with his former teammate DeAngelo Evans having developed into one of the premier cornerbacks in the league. Williams has the talent to push Jason Webster to the No. 3 role.
47. Green Bay  OT Daryn Colledge, Boise State
Colledge will likely begin his career inside and challenge OLG Adrian Klemm for a starting job. The Packers needed to find more protection inside to keep Brett Favre from spending as much time on his back as he did a year ago after two of his longtime veteran protectors deflected and left the Packers vulnerable at guard.more freedom, less government. Go Sarah!

TIME WILL TELL; AGAIN IT'S NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE TO PREDICT TTOriginally posted by Fritz"At 6-1 and 190 pounds, he's big enough to attract the eye of the NFL"
I'm a little concerned that the dude shrunk between college and the draft...They're listing him at 5'11" on ESPN. By the time he's in his second year with Green Bay he'll be 5'6".
Okay...I'm kind of going WTF? I just hope TT knows what he's doing. Seems like there are better prospects out there than this guy. Kiper likes him, but so what?
Back to my motto: Trust TT.
I really liked Chris Chester a hell of a lot better than the OT we picked
I really liked Demetrius Williams a hell of a lot better than Jennings
I really hope I'm wrong on both
OH, and I really liked Abdul Hodge as a 2nd round pick.TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

I think the Packers could go Fred Matua in the third round. More offensive line help, a defensive end, and some more help in the secondary. Also, the Packers could also look to address a moderate need at running back, and again at wide reciever.
Wide reciever depth currently looks like this:
1. Donald Driver
2. Robert Ferguson
3. Rod Gardner
4. Mark Borichter
5. Greg Jennings
6. Chad Lucas
7. Chump
8. Chump
