    THURMAN REPORT CONFIRMED

As we explained on Monday, the folks at WithLeather.com took a big risk by going with unsubstantiated reports of a ruckus involving Bengals linebacker Odell Thurman.

As it turns out, the reports were on the money.

WCPO-TV in Cincinnati reports that Thurman is facing accusations of assaults in Georgia, based on complaints made against Thurman and his brother by "a couple of men."

The accusers claim that Thurman and his brother punched them at a part, and thereafter returned with guns drawn.

A hearing will be held on Friday to determine whether an arrest warrant is issue. We've got our fingers crossed, since we'd rather not see the "days without an arrest" meter hit 20.

With all that said, being "right" in the end doesn't mean that going with the report wasn't risky to the point of reckless, given the potential for a defamation suit. If the overriding goal is to keep a quasi-media business viable over the long haul, getting it other than "right" on a subject like this only once can be fatal.
Bud Adams told me the franchise he admired the most was the Kansas City Chiefs. Then he asked for more hookers and blow.

No charges against Thurman, so says PFT. Curse of Bretsky relents.

Please stop the sacrifices everyone. Just go about your business.

We will issue more Odell Alerts as needed.

Not sure if the curse carries over to basketball, But.....the

Milwaukee Bucks should draft Michael Conley, the PG from Ohio State
He's going to be a stud PG in the NBA and IMO that's an area of need.

Sorry Harvey if I'm puttin the magical whammy on your Ohio State boy, but I've seen future stardom on this guy from mid season on.

                    Cheers,

Bretsky, if this curse is really going to take off, you need to quit banging on Ferguson. You wanted Chambers over Fergie, and that kind of preference is not going to help forward the Curse of the Bretsky. A little revisionist history would help here. Start claiming you wanted Fergy over Chambers, and in a year or so it will be seen as truth, and the Curse will thrive.

He's gone one fatal flaw in his game - free throws. In a tight game down the stretch can you even let the guy on the floor, much less handle the ball? I know guys can improve. Karl Malone came into the league at ~60% and left pushing ~80%. But Conley is a guard, and they're expected to be great FT shooters.

I sure appreciate the Bucks taking Bogut instead of Deron Williams.

Actually they took him over Marvin Williams; they never considered Williams

I did like Williams as the best PG and #3 player in that draft.

Sorry Fritz, I just cannot back anything regarding the Fraud. He's a curse; drafting Chambers was the most obvious draft choice, besides AJ Hawk, at that spot, than I had witnessed. Absolute incompetence.

And when Meachem is thriving in New Orleans I'll be doing some reminding.........even though HW was a closet Meachem fan as well. He's a swinger sometimes
