  • Pick a song for this upcoming season

Okay, I'm bored and it's too early to drink beer (then again it is noon somewhere in the world). Anyways was thinking it might be fun to pick a song to indicate your feeling towards this upcoming season. Should lead to some unusual selections is my guess.

Might I suggest the Beach Boy's - Good Vibrations Came down to that or AC/DC's Hell's Bells and I'm an optimist for this upcoming season.

That is a good pick for your Bears team. I have to give you credit for that foresight Bearman.

Now, what is your thoughts on the Packer team song?

It was only good when Meredith sang it.

Speaking of a good Bear song................the Eagles, 'Heartache Tonight'

Rastak was the Doors reference for the Pack or the Vikes this year? If the Pack - et tu brute?

The Bears song would have to be REM's - "It's the End of the World as we know and Rex feels fine"

Reminds me of 1980 when the Lions started out 4 - 0, and the whole town - and the team - was singing "Another One Bites the Dust." The confidence level was over the top. The team finished 9-7, played SF in the first round, had a chance to win on a final-play-of-the-game field goal of (I think) 40 yards...and Eddie Murray, the kicker, missed it.

So no team songs for me, thanks.

                          Seasons in the Sun.

"we had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun." I know its not very forward thinking, but you really can't beat the good old days - those memories bring people together.

Doesn't the subject of that song die in the end?

Harlan, it's great to see you posting.

But that is one depressing song. Wasn't that Gilbert O' Sullivan, and didn't he also do a song about seducing his young niece? If Mark Chmura were on the team, that'd be a good one.
