People have mentioned this from time to time. I do not remember seeing that, and in fact commented to my son in one of the games that the decreased workload hadn't seemed to help him at all.

He had a sack against the Bears, but nothing else in the final four games. He got ridden out on several, just like when he was the starter.

    What did I miss?

I'm not expecting any big resurgence from him. I hope I am wrong, but I fear he might be like so many other speed rushers, who have relatively short time spans of productivity.
Well, oh Great P-Dog, he looked quicker to me. I thought the LT's weren't simply able to ride him out of the play as readily. Also thought that the offenses were chipping him more than before.

I also saw him vary his rush pattern, actually doing a few spins to the inside. My observations are subjective, they weren't reflected in a great increase in production. I just thought the boy had a lot more zip than he did when he was a 3 down DE.

We'll see if this is true. With his salary, he has to be a big fact or on 3rd down, or one of the young DE's will get a chance.
Well, all-seeing K-man, I was actually hoping to get the comments from others, as you had already made your opinion clear as I had mine. No point in arguing about it (but, of course, I will anyway!). I admit that I could have missed his improved play, suddenly increased speed, expanded repertoire of moves, etc. causing the offenses to focus more intently on him, because, quite frankly, I have not liked him as a player for a long, long time..

I will admit, I've always been down on him, even when he was getting higher sack totals. He seemed to be able to dominate a few tackles and rack up impressive numbers, while at the same time being totally dominated by other tackles and not even getting close to the QB. It seemed like he never "almost got the QB". He either got the sack, or wasn't even in the picture. I have always found him to be very inconsistent, and a very weak component of the line as a starter. I have hoped for him to be replaced for a long time, and a couple years ago thought Williams was going to do it after he played quite a little bit at end as a rookie.

From that perspective, I'm sure I saw the bad more than the good in his play as a pass-rush specialist. I actually thought Jenkins was a more effective pass rusher from that position at the end of the year than KGB was, and I saw little reason to bring KGB in, other than to give Jenkins a breather, if needed.

[quote="Deputy Nutz"]I am really excited to him run seven yards up field and then get pushed out of the play when the qb steps up into the pocket.

Where'd you get that crazy idea?

I think the Pack needs to update their player bios. Bubba's begins with this line:

          "A consistent offensive threat . . ."
