I like Green, but I can't buy a jersey of a guy who has left the team. That being said, I doubt I'll be running out to get a Vern Jersey this year either

Actually, I see quite a few people at Packer games wearing jerseys of former favorite players. Robert Brooks and Gilbert Brown are a couple of favorites. Even a Mark Chmura once. I imagine we'll be seeing Ahman jerseys for a while.

I guess those players are ok because they didn’t play for other teams afterward. Heck I will my Favre jersey even 20 years from now.

I think it's more when you buy the jersey. For instance, I bought my Ahman jersey several years ago. It's alright for me to wear it to the game (as long as it's not a game against Houston). Same with my Levens jersey and Brooks jersey. I bought them all when they played for the Pack.
