Which is why Favre should be getting 100% of the votes.Originally posted by The LeaperWithout Favre, this team would be LUCKY to win 4 games.
To put it mildly...this offense can't punch it into the endzone despite having one of the most prolific scoring QBs leading the offense due to a lack of weapons and an inexperienced OL. If we didn't have Favre, this team wouldn't muster more than 10 points a game.

I'd like to see some of the "average" QBs in the NFL post the stats Favre did last year behind an OL that was consistently beaten against the run all year and routinely gave up pressures when pass blocking. You saw what happened to Rodgers when he came in...he got pounded into next week. Only a highly experienced QB like Favre has the ability to play behind a crappy OL like that and still be relatively productive.Originally posted by Harlan HucklebyFavre is just an average starting QB now.
Favre remains one of the 10 best QBs in the NFL...when everything else is equal. His stats are only average due to the below average talent he has to work with on offense. Hell...Manning usually can't get to 30 TD passes with Harrison, Wayne and the rest to throw to. Give Favre that kind of cast to work with and see what he does. Or have you forgotten 2004 already?
The difference between then and now isn't so much Favre but the downfall of the supporting cast.My signature has NUDITY in it...whatcha gonna do?

7) Who is Green Bay's most indispensable player?
67.3% Brett Favre
13.1% Aaron Kampman
12.6% A.J. Hawk
5.0% Charles Woodson
2.1% Chad Clifton
As our offense looks at present. Where would Favre be without Donald Driver to catch the ball?
I know that at least Favre see's the importance of DD on our team.
In the debate of where would we be without Favre.
We'll soon find out.
I'll predict that as soon as Favre is pushed out that Aaron Rodgers will have alot more to work with (at least potentially) than Brett Favre does at present.
Now. . .why would that be?** Since 2006 3 X Pro Pickem' Champion; 4 X Runner-Up and 3 X 3rd place.

Leaper, I agree. The scary thing, is, if you think about this in terms of the rebuilding effort, ie. life after Favre, it doesn't bode well for season #1 AF (after Favre), does it?Originally posted by The LeaperWithout Favre, this team would be LUCKY to win 4 games.

If we're truly "rebuilding", and we're truly "doing it the right way", shouldn't we be able to win games, or even have a presumption of being able to win games, WITHOUT Favre?
To JH - If we truly can only hope to win ONE game minus three players, that doesn't say much for the rest of the team, does it? Shouldn't we be "solid" and "stable" by this point?
Seems to me that in 2005 we lost 9 or 10 starters and still managed to win 4 games.... Are we truly progressing, or regressing? (I think you're closer to my line of thinking than you may care to admit.
