I could see Jolly beating out that vet DT. It woudln't even surprise me if that rookie DE beats out Peterson. He's more of an edge rusher and that is what GB's scheme calls for.

I highly doubt Boerigter makes the team.

Boerigter will make the team if he's healthy--which is about 50/50. He's a decent player when he's healthy.

Noticeable is the the lack of competition at FB and HB. I don't want to see Walt Williams back in camp.

I see they did sign an FA RB though.

Noah Herron, apparently, is the competition.

Cuts: OG William Whitticker, DT Donnell Washington, LB Robert Thomas, S Marviel Underwood (one year and gone like Marques Anderson), B.J. Sander

Practice Squad: DT Johnny Jolly, TE Garrett Cross, WR Chad Lucas, Vince Butler, or Leo Bookman (not sure who is eligible), OT Tony Moll, DE Dave Tollefson, LB Kurt Campbell, CB Therrian Fontenot

Wouldn't be surprised if Rayner won the PK job from Cundiff though.
I pretty much agree with everything you have here. I think the last couple of spots to be decided will be a battle between Lucas and Rodgers for WR and Culver and Underwood at safety. Who knows though, Roman might get cut and both could make the 53 man roster.

While it's true there's a lack of competition at the running back spots, what I like about TT is that he brings in players and invites competition. Look at the battles that are shaping up at the WR, defensive line, linebacker and defensive backfield positions. It'll be good for the team. And no, I don't think the guys TT drafted are just cannon fodder. A couple, maybe, but I see stiff competition in lots of positions.

This is much preferred to Shermy, who seemed to like to bring in only the guys he thought he needed. There never seemed to be enough competition for roster spots.

I like what TT has done. I also look forward to seeing how Underwood, Coston, Hawkins and Montgomery look this year. Poppinga, too, if he isn't put on the PUP. My guess is that Montgomery and Coston will really step up this year.

Nonetheless, he had his eyes on KGB this week and said that he can't believe how big and muscular he has gotten. Apparently moving out the damn Nautilus machines and putting in the old fashioned free weights (gotta love a strength coach named Rock Gulliikson) has agreed with KGB's strength conditioning and physique.

Imagine KGB being stouter against the run on top of all the other defensive upgrades.
did kgb gain any weight? if not, he's still too small to hold up against the run. and, if he doesn't develop some moves other than speed rushing the outside he needs to go back to situational rusher. he's not an every down player, never has been....
