Columbia was a nice place, I liked it. The layout and plan was very nice, very green. The high schools were good, not so much for the middle school that my younger brother would of gone to, but it was still satisfactory. However, the real estate market was either really high or really overpriced. For a nice, modern home, 2,700 sq ft + basement, was $700,000. Look at Mequon and you can get 3,200+basement for $550, 000.Originally posted by MJZiggyWhat happened to Columbia?
Besides, there's just no place like home.

It's a work from home job with maybe one trip to Chicago a month. Can't imagine anyone trying to commute from the Milwaukee area to Chicago. That's got to be about 5 hours driving per day.Originally posted by PartialThat's a hell of a commute.Originally posted by BallHawkNah, Dad might be getting a job with a computer company in Chicago. In a few months I might very well be living in either Mequon or Whitefish Bay.Originally posted by GrnBay007Looking for a job in WI ?Originally posted by BallHawkI might join you guys next year, depending if I end up moving back to Wisconsin.

Nah, more like 2. Plenty of people commute from Kenosha. The fat 6 figure a year in Chicago is a hell of a lot of money in Kenosha and gets you a nice palace and a nice suv.Originally posted by BallHawkIt's a work from home job with maybe one trip to Chicago a month. Kenosha is manageable, even though it is still 65 miles each way. You'd have to be crazy to try to commute from places like Waukesha, Mequon, New Berlin, etc. Kenosha would be the farthest I think anybody would be willing to go, even though I did know somebody that commuted from Oak Creek.

Just a reminder, people, the party's in Green Bay which is not a doable commute from Chicago because the Bears suck and we're gonna beat the tar out of them after one hell of a tailgating party. So we're at Fuzzy's on Sunday, what about Saturday? I will call the stadium and see if they do group tours if anyone is interested in doing that. Please either reply or pm me and I'll see what the options are."Greatness is not an act... but a habit.Greatness is not an act... but a habit." -Greg Jennings

Downtown is pretty packed the night before a game, that's kinda my plan on where to be.
Is everyone set with a hotel now? The GB Visitors Bureau is the best place to call for a room as they have the latest in cancellations and availability. hotels usually call them when they have a room available due to a cancellation or something. Must easier than calling each hotel, that's for sure. 888-867-3342

Zig, tours are on a first come, first serve basis and fill up very fast on game weekends. They only take about 12 people at a time on the stadium tour.Originally posted by MJZiggyJust a reminder, people, the party's in Green Bay which is not a doable commute from Chicago because the Bears suck and we're gonna beat the tar out of them after one hell of a tailgating party. While you guys are on your tourist sight-seeing, I'll take the non-tourists to a bar and a drive by of Brett's house

Well I got some ideas what we can do they mostly involve watching women taking off their clothes. But I really can't comment since I don't know if SkinBasket likes those sorts of places, I have to respect him as a person you know.Originally posted by PartialWho is in for a Saturday night get together and what are we going to do? I think it would be a great time just to chill somewhere.

The back door.
God, that's gross. Sometimes I really gross myself out. But then I find humor in that and it's not so gross anymore, more just kinda sad. Then I get depressed. Then I drink, go to sleep and do it all over again!
Seriously though, as long as the Great Social Lubricant is involved, I don't give a damned where I'm at. Can you smoke in the bars up there or is the shit all fucked up there too? Ay yi yi, people, my kid has more focus than this. And if you knew him, you'd be shamed...
I have heard from a couple people about doing the stadium tour. Is anyone else interested, otherwise we'll be a small, but very nice group.
So if you guys are serious about the titty bar thing, maybe B (the local titty bar expert) should head that one up (not really fair to ask GBR to research). The rest of us are going downtown? Where should we meet and what time? And we still don't know how we're going to find each other?
Sunday, is everyone agreed about Fuzzy's for tailgating? Anyone know what time to be there?"Greatness is not an act... but a habit.Greatness is not an act... but a habit." -Greg Jennings
