  • NFL Radio loves the PAckers Draft

Sirius NFL radio listed the Packers as big winners this afternoon on Afternoon Blitz.

They loved the hawk pick, love the jennings pick, Ingle, and thought Blackmon was a steal. Went on and on about the Hodge, BArnett, Hawk LB corp.

    Adam Shine:

"Now I've been very critical of Ted Thompson and the PAckers as you know, but I have to give credit when credit is due and way to go TT. This was a statement draft by that GM. No doubt this team will be better with this group of young talent being infused into the team."
"For a fan base that so gratefully took to success, it bothers me how easily some fans are resigned to failure."

Of course we couldn't get any worse. At any rate most of these guys have been all over our favorite team and it's really nice to hear them talk positively about them all day. Really glowing reviews.

        It's a stretch? I don't think so.

Watch, Colledge will start week 1. He is that good. I have watched this kid for awhile and you will be very impressed.

AJ Hawk will start week 1. My hope is that Hodge starts too.

Our LB core will be improved and so will our return game.

I think we have improved our LB, OL, WR and return game.

It will be very interesting who emerges at the WR during camp and preseason.

Someone look back and see what were our holes were before the draft?

I think we ugraded everywhere. The O-line is better. The D-line (although it doesn't have a lot of pro bowl players on it) is deep with a lot of youth. Kampman is back and he has gotten better every year so far and I see no reason why he won't continue to do that. If they can find a DE who can stop the run to spell KGB on running downs that will be huge.

The secondary picked up another SS. We got another talented CB in additon to the many we have their now.

The LB's, oh the LBs, what can you say there.

RBs, definately question marks, but no more question marks then our division rivals.

We picked up a third QB.

We have three punters and three kickers competeing.

Wr has been upgraded, plus we have a WR in Europe right now breaking all kinds of records.

Special teams got a lot better from this draft.

            I'm liking it.

Just think what his parents thought of the photo, boy did that come back to haunt him
Chris: Dad, what's the blow-hole for?
Peter: I'll tell you what it's not for, son. And when I do, you'll understand why I can never go back to Sea World.
