  • Vikings checking out Freguson.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -- The Minnesota Vikings are working out free agent receiver Robert Ferguson today, two days after the Packers cut him.

Coach Brad Childress says one reason for the invitation is that offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell is familiar with Ferguson. Bevell was an assistant coach with the Packers while Ferguson was in Green Bay.

Injuries limited the six-year veteran in recent seasons, sending him down the depth chart.

Childress has said many times he likes his group of receivers -- but they're inexperienced and not very accomplished.

Ferguson has said he has no hard feelings toward the Packers, and he has many good memories of his time in Green

I guess maybe they want a receiver who is old and not very accomplished.

At least they didn't trade up and draft him instead of keeping a pick and drafting Chris Chambers
TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER
