Most of the 1st D was out there the entire 1st Half. Those substitutions would be a normal game pattern.

So taking Hawk and Barnett out of the game is "normal game pattern"???

I beg to differ. Hawk never leaves the field, and Barnett only leaves when we are in the dime.

I wouldnt' be suprised if it was 10 weeks. Foot problems seem to linger.

We hava bye in week 7 which is 8 weeks from now. I wouldn't be suprised if we see Driver in week 9, game 8 which is ten weeks from now.

Recalling Blackmon's injury and the TE for the Bears that was hampered last season for weeks on end.

Bottom line: If Driver is seriously injured, it was an awful night. If not, a good night. As far as the game, more positives than negatives. I'd trade any of it for Driver being healthy. Did anybody call Rastak out for criticizing McCarthy for pulling some of his starters sooner than normal? Even before the injury, I would preferred Drive come out when Favre did. Anyways! Shit happens. Could have happened in practice too. Still, I don't see the need to risk starting players in a meaningless preseason game for 3 quarters against a hard-hitting team. Of course, it happened in quarter 2.

I think they wanted to give Rodgers a series with the first team because of his success to this point moving the offense with the second string. Rodgers EARNED the chance to play with the first string against the JAX first string defense IMO. I would've done the same thing if I were McCarthy. Rodgers is only going to improve as he gets more reps against starting caliber players at this point.

Driver's injury was just unlucky...and could just as easily have happened on the first series of the game. You can't sit the starters the entire preseason because you are scared of injury. If Driver had been out there against the SECOND STRING defense, then I think your question gains merit.
