RUN DEFENSE: The Eagles did an excellent job of neutralizing the Packers' rookie running back, Brandon Jackson, holding him to 40 yards on 15 carries. Jackson had just 3 carries of more than 3 yards.
Grade: A-plus

PASS DEFENSE: Anytime you can hold Brett Favre to 4.9 yards per attempt and no touchdowns and sack him 4 times, you have to be happy. But Favre twice escaped tacklers and made big plays on the Packers' game-tying third-quarter scoring drive. And Takeo Spikes blew a golden opportunity for an interception late in the second quarter that would have given the Eagles the ball inside the Green Bay 25.

Grade: A-minus

RUSHING OFFENSE: Brian Westbrook averaged 4.3 yards per carry, but Donovan McNabb's recovering right knee prevented him from posing any kind of a threat as a runner, and Correll Buckhalter managed just 5 yards on 4 carries.

Grade: C-minus

PASSING OFFENSE: With the Packers' pass rush not letting him get comfortable in the pocket, Donovan McNabb had a rough day, completing just 45.4 percent of his throws and averaging just 5.57 yards per attempt. A first quarter interception set up the first of Mason Crosby's 3 field goals, and he was nearly picked off again in the 4th quarter.

Grade: D

SPECIAL TEAMS: The Eagles' lack of an experienced punt returner bit them in the butt. Greg Lewis gave the Packers their only touchdown with a first-quarter punt muff, and his replacement, J.R. Reed gift-wrapped GB's Crosby's game-winning field goal with another muffed punt.

Grade: F

OVERALL: For at least one game, the concerns about the Eagles' defense turned out to be unwarranted as they held the Packers to 10 first downs and no touchdowns. Unfortunately, the other 2 phases of this football team – the offense and special teams – failed miserably. A .333 batting average is great in baseball, but lousy in football.

That is baloney. I though McNabb showed very good mobility.

Here's the thing with the Philadelphia media, no matter how well McNabb plays or how bad the rest of the team plays, it's somehow Donovan's thought. He's always the scapegoat.

I thought McNabb did a terrific job avoiding the rush, and creating when things were breaking down. Westbrook dropped a couple of easy passes, though otherwise played very well.
