"if he can handle the pain per ESPN"

He's going up against the 'Iron Man' of football, who's played with every kind of pain. That statement made me laugh outloud!

either its him or lorenzen the 285 pound QB, I still see a Defense salivating at this one

Yes a hit from Jenkins or KGB would likely land him on his right shoulder. Eli's body weight plus that of the rusher could worsen the sprain.

Kampmann might hit the shoulder directly which won't be as damaging.

If he gets a local injection of pain killer he could stay in the game until the damage affects his throwing.

Eli Manning is the most overrated QB in the entire NFL. It will be proven against the Packers since he has no backfield. Tiki, you better take your tie off, unless you want your ex-qb sacked about 7 times and picked 3 this week. His arm is weak, and his vision is slightly better than Vicks, unfortunately, he can't run. He's going to find out what a REAL defense looks like real soon here. Good luck young man, you're gonna need it.

Seperated shoulder vs sore thumb? We all think Favre's record is pretty good, but if you are hurt and you are going to hurt the team, or screw your season you should sit your ass down.

Agree that he is overrated but it must really be awful to be Payton's brother when you play the same position in the same league. I almost feel sorry for him until I remember how much he makes.

I can't stand him. I would never pity him. He did a long interview for ESPN Magazine last year, and was very harsh on Peyton, calling him a perfectionist and saying that he is too controlling and emotional, and that his teammates like that he is more down to earth and "unshakeable" and doesn't panic, always has the same frame of mind, basically one upping Peyton. Haven't liked him since. Plus, of all the games I've watched him play I have never seen ANYTHING more than a decent QB with no special talents. I'd take a Schaub or Trent Green over him any day of the week. He sucks.

P Manning can be a perfectionist, he is almost perfect as a qb.

Well, if you would've read the article, you would've been shocked. It was very demeaning to Peyton and I was shocked at some of the shit he said negatively about his brother. He sold him out, and made it sound like he is a better teammate. Even if it's true, you don't say that shit to the press. He put Peyton under the bus, and I lost complete respect for him. I didn't have much after the way he handled the draft in the first place, but that article was BS.

You ever have a rivalry with your brother? I can only imagine how competitive the Manning family must have been. Much more intense than the average family I'm guessing.

I've already thought all that through. So, go kick his ass in the back yard, don't talk shit about him like a jealous little prick to millions of people. That's just wrong.

Peyton's offensive linemen probably liked the article.

Now that's impressive, and one of the reasons I believe he is the greatest QB to ever run onto a football field. Period. Not even close.

Note left shoulder, not throwing shoulder . I am friggen amazed he played after that knee injury, I thought he was done. He himself admitted if it weren't for the bye week he would have ended his streak there. You can't play on a severly sprained ankle. You can't even walk on it. I know.

I concede your point though, when he was younger, he was one tough guy. Now he's old, like the rest of us and it's pretty damn hard!
