The shoulder separation is probably the reason why Reggie White signed with Philadelphia. Well, besides God. Reggie is the one that separated it, and he said any other QB would have been out of the game.

Severely sprained ankle was a high ankle sprain. Looked like no chance he'd play.

He played with the tendinitis in his elbow tendinits most of the 1999 season.

He played with a splint on his throwing hand (for the broken thumb) for at least half the season.

"Wind knocked out" vs. Pittsburgh? That's the game that Kevin Greene belted him. He spit up blood, called timeout, and threw a TD on the next play.

Can't forget the TD he threw to Javon Walker after suffering the concussion vs. the Giants a few years ago.

Manning has WAY too much talent around him and great coaches and "cameras" to even compare him to Favre. Part of Favre's greatness as a football player is his toughness and resiliency. My god, did you see the friggin' time Peyton had to pass in Thursdays game? Aprrox. 5 seconds per play. Give Favre that much time he throws 5 touchdowns and runs for two. Apples and oranges. He is successful because of his line, why do you think that when the "great" Addai went down, his rookie replacement ended up with over 6 yards a carry in his absence. Edgerrin James was a "stud" until he went to a team with a lesser line, and he is shit now. Don't get me wrong, he has a very accurate arm, but he has had the same offensive lineman (except the new tackle who did well) and receivers for fifty years. Imagine if Brett had Javon and Sterling for seven straight years with that offensive line, he would have passed Marino 4 years ago and probably had 5 superbowl rings. Peyton isn't the "complete package" that Brett is, and Favre is all in all better.

I assume you meant Green Bay on the free agent thing. The TD after the concussion was a trip. He looked loopy as hell. Sherman should have been incarcerated for not seeing he was out of it before putting him back in the game. Helluva play though. I was amazed as I was watching it. Pure instinct I guess. Strongly disagree. I am not going down this road but manning is the best every down QB I've seen. He makes all of the throws. Once again, I am not going there but Manning is just awesome and I am no big Manning fan. Brett is a tough player who will be one of the alltimers but what holds Brett back is what he has above the shoulders, no disrespect intended. This is the last place where I'd expect an unbiased opinion on this so I am done with this. I have beaten my head against this brickwall too many times and I'm not going there.

Yea, I always thought he was a really tough guy. The last few years he barks alot when he gets hit which took away a bit of the superhero stuff. Don't jump on me, I'm just telling you what I see. It's just my opnion.
I'm sure people have valid counter arguments. I'm not ripping on the guy either. I'm also not asking certain people to start immediate comparisons to other players, let's keep it on topic.

Vikings fan have been jealous of the guy for a long time. Your comments on Favre (he's washed up, T-Jack has a better passer rating, he's not tough anymore, posting the latest dig on Favre for PFT, etc.) are tame compared to what I usually hear and have heard for the last 15 years. I hear it on KFAN in the early morning, late morning, late afternoon, and evening. I can read it on RubeChat on the KFAN website. I used to hear it a lot from co-workers, family and friends also, but that's died down over the years. Now, it's begrudging respect for him. Still have people that call him Fav-rah--like it bothers me or something.
