It's to indicate which helmet has the radio reciever/transmitter in it. There's restrictions on what plays you can have a radio in and you can't have more than one of them on the field at once, so the green dot is to help the refs keep track.

Other then the first two plays the D shut them down. As long as they dont let the RB Ward tear it up it will be OK.
