This is shocking! Then again; Saints were "only" 10-6, won a lot of close ones and they played the Falcons twice / Bucs twice. But this is the Bucs?

We played a pretty good first quarter, and a pretty poor second second quarter but we're still in it and we're not down by much. I fully expect very few of our wins this season to be anything near "dominating." If we're going to be a good team, you need to win games that are close like this. This will come down to heart, execution, and halftime adjustments.

i have had a theory of sorts about manning's play today. i am guessing the shoulder would be ok early and allow him to do well, but as the game wore on it would begin to tighten.

i'm hoping.

burress did limp to the locker room at the 2:00 mark so hopefully that will slow him down some.

i'm hoping woodson mans up and makes a damn tackle soon. toomer posterized him on that one sideline catch-straightarm-run play.

Well we are still in this game but our OL sucks wind.

We need a stronger center.

Favre can't get set the way our OL isn't getting the job done.

Good news though with the way that RB D.Wynn is playing although the OL isn't giving him any opening. 7 carries for 8 yards. Yikes !! Wynn has 2 receptions for 18 yards. He has a TD, his first in the NFL and as a Packer.

Brandon Jackson has gone just over 3 yards a carry. Hahoooo !

1st half analysis-

Giants are hurting themselves with stupid penalites, drops and injuries. They're bringing some pressure on D realizing they only have to worry about Driver. If Shockey can catch the ball, we'll have issues without D-line playing better.

Jackson/Wynn combine for 15 carries and 34 yrds (~2 per attempt). Besides one big play to Jones, Packers 'air' attack is non-existent with lots of short passes (essentially runs).

Pretty even game so far. Packers need to get something going on the run game - and at least keep the Giants honest. Favre doesn't play that well from the shotgun - so limit that shit. Defensive secondary needs to keep their assignments. Let's hope Manning gets some pressure and Lorenzen is forced to jump into the fire.
