I know it's James Jones catching a pass without looking at the numbers. On his long pass, he didn't even reach for it. He's got like super eyes and super quick, strong hands. I've never seen anyone catch in a crowd like he does without being 6-5 and a leaper.
Bubba Franks has taken it to a level I've never seen in his entire careeer. He's playing quicker, and he's really trying for RAC. He's also becoming very reliable.
DeShawn Wynn still reminds me of Brockington, number and all. Edgar Bennett said earlier this week Ryan Grant reminds him of Dorsey Levens. He sure looked like it on that swing pass.
Donald Lee earned his keep somewhat today, for the first time.
Donald Driver plays SO fast its incredible. I don't know what his 40 time is, but he's like a speed machine in cuts and with the ball.
The OL gave Brett protection today.
Favre was AWESOME. The pick was a tipped ball. 14 completions in a row to start the 2nd half. Even Troy Aikman, who's never been a Favre fan, was praising his play.
The Defense has caved in the 2nd quarter 2 weeks in a row.
Aaron Kampman's strip was AWESOME...
Corey Williams is too good to not get a big number of snaps.
I loved how Poppinga, Jenkins and Barnett stood up for Hawk.
Hawk had a couple good blitzes, even though he didn't get a sack.
Atari Bigby made a he man stop of a RB today, looked like Dick Butkus, stopped the guy in his tracks.
Harris and Woodson bring so much stability to the DB's. Even when things look bad, they'll eventually even things out.
What's the deal with all the fumbles the special teams are getting? Tracy White and Charlie Peprah are a takeaway team on kick coverage.
I loved how Poppinga, Jenkins and Barnett stood up for Hawk.
What was said/done? Don't know what you're talking about.
One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh. John Maxymuk, Packers By The Numbers
Thanks for the post-game thoughts by the way. Much appreciated because I didn't see the game.

Actually, Favre's INT bounced off Driver. He most certainly should have caught that pass. I didn't see that it was tipped, maybe it was, but the ball still hit DD in the numbers.

Plaxico Burress blindside blocked A.J. Hawk, who wasn't even near the play. INSTANTLY, the 3 above were in Burress's face. Poppinga gave him a shove and Plaxico just FLEW into the air.
Poppinga got a personal foul, but it was worth it.

Wish I could have seen it. I know it's early but, damn, I like what McCarthy's doing with these young guys. He really gets them to react like family, especially on the road.

Burress was getting away with cheap shots almost the whole game.
If not working, I can usually catch game at a Sportsbar down here.
I was gonna have my brother in Wisconsin tape the games and send them to me, but procrastinated.

From what I saw the DB tipped it (barely) at the last second. It redirected the ball slightly causing it to bounce off DD's back shoulder pads. DD had no time to readjust to the tipped ball. It was a solid defensive play.

It was a big time cheap shot by Burress, that immediately reminded me of Warren Sapps Cheap shot on Clifton years ago. It was the kind of cheap blindside hit that could injure a guy. While I think Pops should have thought twice about retaliating on Burress, I have to give him credit for holding back, had it been me, after shoving Burress to the ground, I would have followed up by kicking the shithead in the balls, lol.
The OL has a lot of work to do. There were far too many plays where DL players penetrated the backfield without being blocked. We were lucky that our average TEs could find room to operate against their lackluster LBs.
Our offense next week needs to do exactly what New England is doing to SD right now...pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass. We aren't going to get anything on the ground against them.
Great game by Favre. Green Bay looks like the best team in the NFC North right now. Detroit and Minnesota both looked horrible...and Chicago didn't exactly look great against a weak KC squad.
1. To critics who think Favre is washed up, please watch a replay of this game. It will show you one game example why he is bound for the HOF.
--he made quick, precise passes.
--he passed to 8 different receivers.
--he displayed tremendous leadership and still loves playing the game.
2. The DL had trouble giving a pass rush in the first half. The pass rush was better in the second half. It supports the idea of moving fresh bodies in and out during the game. I think our DL just wore down the Giants OL in the fourth quarter.
3. Wynn displays excellent open field running ability. He cuts well and explodes off of his cuts.
4. Packers' coverage was good but there were too many interference penalties, including Harris and Hawk.
5. Packers' OL still needs much improvement in run-blocking. There were half a dozen plays where the Packer runner just received the handoff only to be met by a Giant who had penetrated the line.
6. Bubba Franks is back! He made several good catches, including one for a touchdown.
7. As GBRulz mentioned, I liked how McCarthy makes excellent adjustments during the game, both on offense and defense. He is head and shoulders above Sherman in this quality.
8. I like the team's overall intensity and spirit.
