Well, if I were coach, I go the other way. Take a couple shots into the end zone and waste maybe 10 seconds on the clock. One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

Plus, who was the ninny sportswriter that said John Elway was better than Brett Favre?
Now I'm trying to figure out who to root for tonight. A Bear's loss would be nice, but I hate those damn Cowboys!
Getting Jennings in was detrimental to this win. I'm completely convinced we have three solid WR's capable of getting open now. But when we have Jennings getting covered by the #2 CB, then Jones can outduel the Nickel. We needed to get him back to win this one.TERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. Thank you FLOWER

I think he meant "instrumental" not "detrimental."One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. CRAP, Yes I did
Basically having Jennings and Driver being covered by the #1 and #2 CB's the whole game opens our passing game up for everybody. I'm not nearly as confident in JJ when he has to start and matchup against a starting CB. I was at game one; it was miserable. Phily took away Driver and Jones could not get open man to man against their other CB. The last play aside, we needed Jennings to be in this gameTERD Buckley over Troy Vincent, Robert Ferguson over Chris Chambers, Kevn King instead of TJ Watt, and now, RICH GANNON, over JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY LEONARD. I think he meant #85 is pretty damn good. One time Lombardi was disgusted with the team in practice and told them they were going to have to start with the basics. He held up a ball and said: "This is a football." McGee immediately called out, "Stop, coach, you're going too fast," and that gave everyone a laugh.

Couldn't agree more. JJ is doing great, and putting up numbers, but doing so against the #3/nickel back. Most teams (us included) have a pretty huge dropoff from the first two to the third. What's the difference between Harris/Woodson to Bush/Blackmon? Ya, that much.Originally posted by BretskyOriginally posted by Maxie the TaxiI think he meant "instrumental" not "detrimental."

What he's doing makes life easier for DD and GJ, of course. Can't cheat the safety exclusively towards one of those guys if JJ is going to light you up!!!--

To be fair, he started 2 of the games. Hopefully, he'll be the 3rd WR from here on out.Originally posted by OS PAJJ is on par for a 800 yard 70 catch season."There's a lot of interest in the draft. It's great. But quite frankly, most of the people that are commenting on it don't know anything about what they are talking about."--Ted Thompson
