Sounds like he did change the type of workout. The one I recall from his days in GB discussed power workouts for explosiveness. Sounds like he has changed more to endurance training.

Longwell is a funny guy to understand. I always liked him as a kicker, and often defended him here, so I'm not bashing him at all. But...he often dropped the "Tiger Woods is my neighbor" tidbit in interviews when he was in GB, too! It seemed to come up time and time again.

From what I understand, they actually play golf together. I wouldn't want to play golf with Tiger....when I compete I like to think I at least have a small chance.

Ya, he mentioned that in GB. He has aspirations of becoming a professional golfer when he retires. He has played some tournaments toward that already.

Well, whatever the combo of workouts this year was, it worked.

Longwell always complained about tiring in the second half of the season. Maybe that won't be a problem this year. Time will tell.

Longwell is a good kicker, and should continue to do well in the dome.

At this point I'll take Crosby over Longwell. I wonder what the avg start after kickoff was during Shermy's career vs M3?

Did you see Crosby get his bell rung on the long return by AP? He turned his back and was trying to cut off AP cut away from the side line and got leveled by a blocker. He was holding his head and rolling on the sde line when the camera cut away. They never said anything about it afterwards so i assumed he is OK.

Since we're talking special teams and so on, howz about Jon Ryan? He seems to have gotten through his mini-slump, no?

And he's a damn running back now.

Longwell was a good kicker for us, there is no denying that. But I'm very content with Crosby. I think he's doing a great job so far.

I'm scared about losing Ryan to a RB position now though
