By saying that he's not happy with the current talent, he is criticizing the front office.

The point I'm trying to make is that instead of playing armchair quarterback (heh, heh) he could be a proactive leader and try and make a difference now. Instead he's sitting back and waiting for someone else to do something.

He tells us that if the Packers are headed in a direction the precludes winning then he will retire.Is his honesty a reflection of a man that wants to damage the Packers? How do you or I know how many things he has to factor into that decision to retire when he's private and not even his wife ,his agent, his brother or mother knows that answer?"
He's said that he'd retire unless he saw something more from the front office. So yes, that it criticism and that is damaging to the team.
Also, Favre is an attraction in GB and his return would help recruit FA's. So him stringing out this decision is also damaging to GB.
