William Henderson is a class act. I hope the front office makes plans for him after he retires.

10,000 is to 4 million per year

        as

125 is to 50,000 per year

Just to put some perspective to it.

Good point, Nick. Another perspective. The average Per-capita income in terms of purchasing power for the United States is $41,399 a year.

So $10,000 equals the sum of 88 days' wages for the average American.

When Doug Evans #33 was signed away in Fee Agency in 1998 - Henderson was the first one in Wolf's office to get his number changed from 30 to 33. I remember Wolf Telling the story on the news, that when Will came in and started bringing up Evans not being re-signed, Wolf thought Henderson was going to speak out about letting him go, but just wanted his number, Wolf said, I was relieved

Furthermore, this kind of thing is routine, and 10g is a good deal for a number.
TB, your point is ridiculous. Athletes being in financial trouble is also routine as well

$10,000 should be a lot of money to anyone, rich or poor. Yeah, it was a good deal - for Whitticker. Unless Pickett can directly turn the number 79 into $10,000 profit for himself, he made a bad financial move.

                .
What is ridiculous is you. Athletes in financial trouble is "routine." Stats please. More athletes are financially ok, then doing poorly.

How Pickett chooses to spend his money is his choice, cars, large house, strippers, etc. You would have a much better leg to stand on if we were talking about his 6 or 7 bentleys rather than a paltry 10 large. Its all a choice. If he feels more comfortable in that number and plays better because he is superstitious than i'm for it. The number is his identity.

BTW, Clinton Portis paid 40 large for his number. Eli Manning paid off Jeff Feagles for his number, and Feagles also got a new kitchen in his house when Plaxico wanted his number. Glavine financed a nursery for Super Joe and his wife. I think Pickett did very well for himself. THIS IS A COMMON PRACTICE THAT DOESN'T WARRANT YOUR OPINION.

10g is not alot for everyone. If you don't understand that, then you are making no cash. Everyone knows that as your income increases so do your expeditures. People who make 200g rarely drive a Yugo.
